Tournament Information

Thank you for entering the HOMESTRETCH SPORTSWEAR CLASSIC at St. Henry High School!

Tournament Start Time: 8:30 AM, doors open on an automatic timer at 7:30 AM and will not be opened any sooner. Please enter door 1 or door 19 of the main building if you are playing in the HS or MS gyms. Door 1 is the main entrance at the front of the school on Columbus Street. Door 19 is the door by the gymnasium in the back of the school on Main Street. If you are scheduled to play in the Community Center, there is only one main door that is located off the north parking lot near the Main Street entrance. There will be a $5 admission fee for 18 and over. There will be stations at each door where we will collect money, and you will receive a stamp in order to be able to move between buildings. 

Coaches: Please bring warmup balls with you; we will not supply these. We will hold our coaches meeting by the concession stand at 8:00 AM (Saturday only). Upon arrival, we will have printed roster sheets for you to sign and make changes if needed. Please make sure this is done ASAP as we use that to track team arrivals or if we have any teams running late. Match order will be 8:30 (1 vs. 3 - 2 ref), and 9:15 (2 vs. 4 - 1 ref). 

Court Layout: Court 1 will be in the MS gym, and Court 2 is in the HS gym. Courts 3 and 4 will be in the Community Center, which is a separate building connected by the north parking lot. Please plan accordingly for weather (umbrellas, extra tennis shoes, and such) as these buildings are separate, and you may need to walk outside. 

Day 1: We will play and complete the first pool. We will reseed and play the first two matches of the second pool. Pool play will be the best of three sets with rally scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no cap). The deciding set will be to 15 points with the same rules. All warm-ups will be 2-4-4 format.

Day 2: Also starting at 8:30, we will finish the second pool. We will seed the tournament brackets and finish out the tournament. For a typical 4 court, 16 team tournament, we will run the gold tournament on court 1, the silver will be on court 2, the bronze on court 3, the copper on court 4.

Seating: Absolutely NO lawn chairs are allowed in our facility due to damaging of wood floors and sport court. We will have bleacher seating for game viewing, and we will have tables and chairs set up in the Commons of the main school when you are off. This will also be where the concession stand is located.

Concessions: St. Henry will have a full concession stand throughout the day, please no outside food or drink. Team buffets will NOT be allowed in or ourside our facility! Keep all coolers in cars!

Camping: Camping for courts 1 and 2 needs to be in the HS Commons area. You will choose a table beside the trophy cases/cabinets. Please do not let your teams camp on the tables that are not set up for them; we use this area for parents/players to eat during the day. For teams playing in the Community Center, the East wall curtain will remain down, and the players can create camps behind it. We will have signs posted. Please make sure your athletes have no ball handling outside the gyms as we don't want any accidents to happen.
