Tournament Information

Tournament will start at 8:30 a.m. Coaches meeting will be at 8:00 a.m. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Coaches please stop at the concession stand upon arrival to check your roster. Reminder that coaches need to be Impact Certified and have concussion and safe sport courses completed and of file with the OVR. Pools for the tournament will be posted the Tuesday night before the tournament weekend. Pool play will be the best of 3 sets. Each non-deciding game will be to 25 (win by 2 - no cap). Each deciding game will be to 15 points (win by 2 - no cap). Match order will be as follows: Team in () is reffing team Match #1 1 vs 3 (2) Match #2 2 vs 4 (1) 1 vs 4 (3) 2 vs 3 (1) 3 vs 4 (2) 1 vs 2 (4) Top 2 teams out of each pool will go to the Gold Tournament, 3rd place team out of each pool will go to the Silver Tournament, and 4th place team out of each pool will go to the Bronze Tournament. Champion and Runner-Up Teams of the Gold Tourney will receive prizes/awards. After 1st round of tournament playoffs, losing team must stay and ref before leaving. SPECTATORS ARE NOT ALOUD TO BRING IN ANY KIND OF CHAIRS INTO THE FACILITY. Chairs will be provided by the host facility for spectators to sit in. Courts 1,2, and 3 (HS gym - "Palace") will have seating provided for spectators surrounding the courts. Court 4 (JH gym - "Pit") will have bleacher seating available. There will be no ball handling outside of the gyms. Team camps must be kept clean and be picked up by team members prior to leaving the facility. This will be greatly appreciated. These rules will be strictly enforced. Keep all coolers in your vehicles. Coolers are prohibited in and outside facilities hosting OVR sanctioned events. No outside food is to be brought in the school. Setting up of tables and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches or parents are prohibited at OVR sanctioned events. A full concession stand will be available all day. No rowdy fans or coaches will be tolerated. If someone continually yells at the officials, scorekeepers, line judges or players, you will be asked to leave the facility. Team Cancellations: Per OVR regulations - a team cancelling after the entry deadline will forfeit its entry fee. A team cancelling prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its entry if a replacement team is found. Tournament Cancellations: If for any reason Mercer County is under a Level 3 emergency, the tournament will be cancelled. A notice will be displayed at the OVR Juniors Tournament info page. I will contact by phone or email the contact person for each team as soon as can be possible. Entry fees will be refunded to those teams by the end of the next week.
