Doors open at 7am Coaches meet on Court 1 in the HS at 7:30am sharp We will then break and go to our courts then to start play for tournament info or questions please email me at rwyman1025@gmail.com Bleacher seating only , no chairs Healthy concession stand, clothing table. Prizes for top two finishers in Gold . Team rosters will be downloaded from the OVR website the week of Warm-ups are to consist of 15 minutes (7 minutes shared, no hitting across net), 4 minutes serving team, 4 minutes receiving team. After each team’s first match, the mandatory warm-up time between all matches is will be 10 minutes, Consisting of 2 minutes of shared ball handling on-court, 4 minutes full-court for the serving team, and 4 minutes full-court for the receiving team. 12 TEAM (3 COURTS) TOURNAMENT PROCEDURE http://www.ovr.org/juniors/tournament_packet/JTP_Tournament_Format_12.pdf Match order: [Team in () refs] Match 1 1 vs. 3 (2) Match 2 2 vs. 4 (1) Match 3 1 vs. 4 (3)the tournament. Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified. Doors open 7:00 AM A coaches´ meeting at 7:30 AM on court 1 The tournament starts after COACHES MEETING Pool play is the best of three sets with rally scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap.) The deciding set, if needed, will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage (no scoring cap.) Prior to each team’s first match of the day, Match 4 2 vs. 3 (1) Match 5 3 vs. 4 (2) Match 6 1 vs. 2 (4) Teams will officiate according to the above schedule for pool play. The lowest seeded team in each division not playing the first round of the playoffs will officiate the first playoff match. Tournament play will be the best of three sets. After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before leaving, must stay and officiate the next match. A healthy food concession stand will be available at the tournament site. A clothing table also to buy whistles and volleyball clothes. At a very reasonable prices NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. (OVR rule sanctioned events) ALL COOLERS (BIG OR SMALL) HAS TO STAY IN THE CAR. Coolers found outside the building, will be tossed in the trash bin Tournament checks will be deposited January 15, 2016 or according to OVR tournament guidelines. Thanks. Team/Tournament Cancellation: Per OVR regulations- A team canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee. A team canceling prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full entry fee if a replacement is found. A team canceling from this tournament to enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee. If for any reason the tournament is cancelled, a notice will be displayed on the OVR Junior Tournament list. Club directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted (phone, email) as soon as possible. Entry fees will be returned within 3 days of the cancellation. All fourth place teams to Bronze. 12 team format- All first place, second place, and top two third place teams to Gold. Remaining 3rd and 4th place teams to Silver. Please note, the doors of the playing site will not be unlocked until 7:00AM. Team camps are only permitted in the Commons area as designated by the tournament director. The tournament director will does his best to direct teams to camping areas. The use of any ball outside of the gymnasium is not permitted while inside the building. Keep all coolers in cars. Coolers are prohibited in and outside facilities hosting OVR- sanctioned events. Setting up tables and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents are prohibited at OVR- sanctioned events. A concession will be provided at the tournament site. Please NO FOOD or DRINK PERMITTED IN THE GYMS. Water or sports drinks only for players. Seating for spectators will provided in the gymnasium. Crestview Middle School will be only gym where chair seating will be permitted. Only those teams currently playing in a match are permitted on the gymnasium floor.
