Directions

• From Pittsburgh:

  • I-79N to I-90E.
  • Take Exit 27, which is Route 97.
  • Take Route 97N, turn left at exit ramp.
  • Follow 97N to 38th Street, you will see a Value Hardware on the corner.
  • Turn right on 38th Street.
  • The entrance to the college is a few blocks down on the right.
  • Follow the signs to the Mercyhurst Athletic Center (MAC).
  • You may park in the parking lot right in front of the MAC, but please do not park in spaces that are reserved for specific individuals.

• From Buffalo or Cleveland:

  • Take I-90 to Pennsylvania, I-90W from Buffalo and I-90E from Cleveland.
  • Take Exit 27, which is Route 97.
  • Take 97N.
  • Follow 97N to 38th Street, you will see a Value Hardware on the corner.
  • Turn right on 38th Street.
  • The entrance to the college is a few blocks down on the right.

Mercyhurst University on Sunday, March 12, 2017.

There will be 2 courts of G13R, and 2 courts of G15R.

Pool play will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.

Also include your 11 digit team code, team and club name,
as well as team contact info including a name, address, and
contact phone number.

Coaches meeting will be at 8:00 a.m. in the main gym.

POOL PLAY
=========
Pool play will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.
Pool play is the best two of three sets with rally scoring.
Each non-deciding set will be to 25.
The deciding set, if needed, will be to 15.
All sets are win by 2, with no scoring cap.
All warm-ups will use the 2-4-4 format:
=> 2-min shared, 4-min Serving team, 4-min Receiving team.

Match 1 - 1 vs. 3 - (2 works)
Match 2 - 2 vs. 4 - (1 works)
Match 3 - 1 vs. 4 - (3 works)
Match 4 - 2 vs. 3 - (1 works)
Match 5 - 3 vs. 4 - (2 works)
Match 6 - 1 vs. 2 - (4 works)

PLAYOFFS
========
In each age group:
1st & 2nd place from each pool advance to GOLD bracket
3rd & 4th place from each pool advance to SILVER bracket
The lowest seeded team in each bracket not playing the first
round of the playoffs will officiate the first playoff match.
After the first round, the losing team on a court will stay and
officiate the next match on that court.
1st place teams in each Gold bracket will receive awards.

CONCESSIONS
===========
Per OVR Regulations:
=> Coolers are PROHIBITED in and outside of the facility.
=> Setting up tables and/or cooking by teams or their
    support staff, fans, coaches, or parents are also
    PROHIBITED.
=> A full concession will be provided at the tournament site.
=> There are several restaurants & fast food places nearby.

Camping and Seating
===================
=> There is ample area for camping.  However, there are
    some restricted areas, which will be clearly marked
    and policed.

Main Gym Seating  (G15R – Pool play and Playoffs)
==================================================
=> Bleacher seating (with backs) is available in the main gym.
=> You may still use your own chair, however, space for such
    is limited.
=> There will be absolutely NO seating anywhere on the
    lower level or gym floor.

Back Gym  (G13R –Pool play and Playoffs)
========================================
=> There is NO seating in the back gym so you will NEED to
    bring your own chair.
=> NO SEATING will be allowed along the far (north) wall.
=> One row of fan seating will be allowed along the walls
    at the ends (east and west walls) of the courts.
=> However, NO TEAM camping along these walls.
=> Along the near (south) wall there is plenty of space for
    Seating – BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR – and team camping.
=> Signs will be posted and these restrictions WILL BE
    STRICTLY ENFORCED!!

Entry Deadline and Team/Tournament Cancellation
===============================================
Entry deadline is 14 days prior to event (February 26, 2017)
All checks will deposited on or about that date.
Per OVR regulations:
* A team canceling after entry deadline, forfeits its entry fee.
* A team canceling from this tournament to enter a different
   tournament will forfeit its entire entry fee.
* A team canceling prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit
   its entry fee if a replacement team is found.
* If there is a possible issue with weather the Tournament
   Director will be in contact with team coaches and/or club
   directors to provide up to date local (Erie) information.
* If there is a level 3 snow emergency in Erie County PA
   on the day of the tournament, the tournament will be
   cancelled and notifications via phone, e-mail, etc. will
   be done as promptly as possible.
* In the event of a tournament cancellation, all entry fees
   will be refunded as soon as possible.
