Tournament Information

Our coaches meeting time will take place promptly at 8:30am. If
all coaches are present and willing to start the coaches meeting
earlier than 8:45am, we will. Warm-ups for the first match-ups
will begin immediately following the coaches meeting (9:00am at
the absolute latest). Pool play will contain 2 pools ( A & B) of 4
teams. Each team will play a match against every team from it's
pool. The top two teams from each pool will move to the Gold
Bracket while the bottom two teams from each pool move to the
Silver Bracket. In the Gold Bracket, the top finishing team from
pool A will play the second finishing team from pool B and visa
versa. The same holds true for the Silver Bracket, the 3rd
finishing team from pool A will play the fourth finishing team
from pool B, and visa versa. 

We will be rotating 3 officials throughout the day, 1 for every
match. If an official is available for playoff matches, he/she may
be used to help facilitate these matches. 

The Y-Zone is a member of the New Castle YMCA association. This
means that unless noted by the tournament director, all facilities
other than restrooms and volleyball courts are off limits for any
YMCA non-members. This includes locker rooms, indoor soccer field,
mezzanine, and wellness center. The state alliance of YMCA's in
Pennsylvania has instituted reciprocity for YMCA's within the
state of Pennsylvania. This means, members of all YMCA's WITHIN
THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA, have access to all other YMCA'S in
Pennsylvania. This does not apply across state borders. Members of
other Pennsylvania Y's will be granted access to the above
facilities if requested. The Mezzanine/wellness center will not be
used as a spectator area, however. Outside food and drink is
allowed at the Y-Zone. Coolers ARE NOT PERMITTED nor any alcohol
or tobacco products on the premise. This includes the parking lot.


The winners of the Gold Bracket shall receive tournament champion
t-shirts. A variety of concessions will be available from
11am-2pm. 

A team canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the
tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee. A team
canceling prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full
entry fee if a paid team entry replacement is found.
Phone or other expenses incurred to find a replacement may be
deducted from the entry fee refund. A team
canceling from one tournament to enter a different tournament will
forfeit its entry fee. If a team requests and
receives entry into a tournament but does not pay its entry fee,
the teams’ club will be fined the amount of the
entry fee.
