Below are the Columbus Convention Center site rules and regulations. Violations of the rules and regulations will result in disqualification and elimination from the event of the offending teams and/or individuals, including parents.

  1. No coolers or food may be brought into the building by players or parents. (The center has two concession areas.)
  2. No passing volleyballs in hallways or concessions areas. Warm-up time will be provided on the court before the match.
  3. No smoking in gym areas or hallways.
  4. Junior Championships: All teams are to camp in the concourse (and not to block any doors!). Do not camp in exhibit halls D, E, and F, where the tournament is running.
  5. There are no shower facilities.
  6. Keep all chairs far away from any court or playable areas. (Parents may bring their own chairs.)
  7. Only certified vendors may sell clothing, shirts, shoes, etc. with approval from the Commissioner.
  8. Put all trash in containers provided by the Convention Center staff.

They will be doing work on the Columbus Innerbelt (I-670).

You can reserve a court on which to hold practice the evening before you play. For Friday, May 1st, we have times available for 6-7 pm, 7-8 pm or 8-9 pm. Cost is $25 per hour. If you are interested, please email Herbert@ovr.org with your requested time.

Club Directors: You will be able to register for this event through your "My Club" page after you have entered your team rosters and uniforms. Do not send an email attempting to register. Due to the limit of 58 courts, only the top 168 14 Regional teams by OVR rankings on Tuesday, April 7th will play on Saturday, May 2nd. Any lower ranked 14 Regional teams will play on Sunday, May 3rd. Tournament Host Hotels: Hyatt Regency -

Renaissance Columbus Downtown - $115 per night

Make reservations for 9 rooms or less at: OVR Girls Regional Tournament. For 10 rooms or more, call 1-877-901-6632. Ask for Passkey Reservations and the OVR Volleyball 2015 Room Block.

The Capital City Half Marathon will run the morning of May 2rd. The first runner will be in the area around 8:20am and the last runner will be out of the area by 10:45am. Please plan on arriving early to the Convention Center to avoid traffic delays. Access to the convention center after 8am can be accomplished by: 670 from the east and comes down N. 3rd St. they can turn on to Chestnut and then go back north to Nationwide and 4th St. A link to their event website can be found here: http://www.capitalcityhalfmarathon.com/ Doors to the playing areas open at 7:00 am. Play begins at 8:30 am. Coaches will need to sign in at the Championship Desk to verify their rosters and pick up their coaches handout.
