Directions

SR 229 east from Marengo runs from Waldo (SR 23) to Mt. Vernon.

• From Columbus: Take Interstate 71 (going North) to exit 140 (intersection of SR 61). Take SR 61 north (turn left) about 2 miles and then turn right onto SR 229. Follow it through Marengo to the intersection of 229 and SR 314 (about 6 miles). Turn right at the light and the Middle School is located on the right.

• From Cleveland: Take Interstate 71 (going South) to exit 151 (intersection of SR 95). Turn left (east) on SR 95 and go about 3 miles to Chesterville and the intersection of SR 314. Turn right (south) and take SR 314 about 5 miles to the intersection of SR 229. Go straight through the light and the Middle School is on the right.

team 11 digit ID#, and team contact name and
address by January 15th. Checks will be cashed on January 15th,

Our tournament will be held in our Middle School and High School
(2 courts each), which are within walking distance of each other.
The tournament will start at 8:30 a.m. with a coaches meeting at
8:00 a.m., at each building between the 2 courts respectively. A
coach from each team must be at the coaches meeting!
There will be designated "camp" areas for each team. You will be
responsible to clean up your camp area when the day is over or
when you leave for the afternoon tournament play (to the other
building).
This is a 4 court tournament with courts 1 and 2 at the HS and
courts 3 and 4 at the MS. 

Tournament Information

Team rosters will be downloaded from the OVR website the week of
the tournament.  Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified.
Pool pay is the best of three sets with rally scoring.  Each
non-deciding set will beto 25 points with a minimum two-point
advantage(no scoring cap). The deciding set, if needed will be to
15 points with a minimum
two point advantage(no scoring cap).  All warm-ups will use the
2-4-4 format; 2-minutes shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team,
4-minutes Serve Receiving team.  Teams may request the referee to
tell them when to serve, usually one minute.

At the conclusion of pool play, per OVR rules, regulations and
procedures, the 1st and 2nd place teams in each pool will play in
the Gold bracket tournament, and the 3rd place teams in each pool
will play in the Silver bracket tournament and the 4th place teams
in each pool will play in the Bronze bracket tournament. There
will be prizes for the Gold Champions and the Gold Runner-Ups. 
 
There is ample bleacher space for fan seating and NO outside
chairs will be permitted in the facilities. NO outside food may be
brought in except that which an athlete may bring in, in heir own
bags for personal consumption. We will have a full concession
stand available at each site, which will include healthy options
as well (fresh fruit, granola bars, etc.) Coolers are prohibited
in and outside facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events.  Setting
up tables
and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or
parents are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events. 

Should there be inclement weather, the tournament will only be
cancelled if Morrow County is under a Level 3 Emergency. That
information is typically available on Columbus television
stations/internet sites. If a tournament is cancelled, entry fees
will be returned within 14 days.

Per OVR regulations- a team canceling after the entry deadline, 14
days prior to the tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee.  A
team canceling does not forfeit its full entry fee if a
replacement is found.  A team canceling from this tournament to
enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee.
