Tournament Information

Thanks so much for attending our tournaments.  We appreciate 
having the opportunity to see your team play.

Entry fee is $175.00 per team. Please write your entry fee

Doors open at 8:00 am.  There is a coaches' meeting on Court 1
of the tournament and officials will be present.  The tournament
starts at 9:00 sharp!

Pool play is the best of three sets with rally scoring.  Each
non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two point
advantage with no scoring cap.  The deciding set, if needed will
be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage with no
scoring
cap.  Change sides when a team reaches 8 points.  All warm-ups 
will use the 2-4-4 format:  2 minutes shared court, 4 minutes 
serving team, 4 minutes receive team. Teams may request the 
referee to tell them when to serve usually one minute.

This is a 8 team tournament so there will be two 4 team pools.
The playing schedule is as follows:

Match 1  1 vs 3 (2 refs)
Match 2  2 vs 4 (1 refs)
Match 3  1 vs 4 (3 refs)
Match 4  2 vs 3 (1 refs)
Match 5  3 vs 4 (2 refs)
Match 6  1 vs 2 (4 refs)

All teams advance and will be ranked within their pools based
upon match percentage first.  For any ties the OVR tiebreaking
procedure will be used.  All first place and second place teams
will go to the Gold playoffs.  The third place and fourth place 
teams go to the Silver playoffs.

Awards will be given to the 2 teams remaining in the Gold
playoffs.

In the event that Muskingum County is in a Level 3 snow emergency
of that the tournament must be cancelled due to unforeseen
circumstances,
teams will receive their entry fee back within 3 days of the
tournament
date.

Teams will have plenty of space to camp outside of the
competition
area. It is requested that no ball handling be done in the
camping
area

NO OUTSIDE FOOD IS ALLOWED - Individual portions are allowed in a
player's bag.  A concession stand will be available at each of 
the playing sites.

All coolers must remain in cars and are prohibited from being in
and outside any facility hosting an OVR sanctioned event.

There will be seating provided at each site and chairs will be
allowed as well.
