Awards: Presented to Gold Playoff Bracket winner and runner-up,
and to Silver Bracket winner.

Concessions: One of the BEST concessions stands in the region! We
have a great selection of healthy food choices. Outside food
and/or coolers are not permitted in the building and will be
removed.

Because Game Time Sports Center will be hosting 32 teams on
Saturday
as well as Sunday, THERE WILL BE NO CAMPING FOR THIS TOURNAMENT! 

Spectator Seating: Bleacher seating is available courtside and
limited floor space is available for outside chairs. Chairs are
NOT permitted on the sport court surface at any time.

Cancellation Policy: A team cancelling after the entry deadline,
14 days prior to the tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee.
A team cancelling prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit
its
full entry fee if a replacement is found. Any team cancelling
from
one tournament to enter a different tournament will forfeit its
entry fee.
 
Weather Related Cancellations/Delays: If Champaign or Clark
County
issue a Level 3 Emergency, the tournament will be cancelled. If
the tournament is cancelled, a notice will be displayed on our
website (www.sharksvolleyball.org) and club directors will be
notified. Entry fees will be returned within one week of the
cancellation.

Pool Play:

Teams from the same club, regardless of seed, should not be
placed
in the same pool.


For pools of 4 teams, the best of 3 sets will win matches. Each
non-deciding set will be won by the team that first scores 25
points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring cap). If there
is a deciding set, it will be won by the team that first scores 15
points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring cap). Change
sides when a team earns 8 points. A point will be scored on each
rally. If the receiving team wins the rally, they score a point
and gain the serve. 

Tournament Format: Saturday play will consist of all six matches
in the first round of pool play and the FIRST TWO matches of the
second round of pool play. Sunday play will consist of the
remainder of the second round of pool play and the play-off
brackets. Teams will be re-seeded for the second round of pool
play based on their finish in the first round.

Playoffs: The first and second place teams from Pools AA and BB
will advance to GOLD Bracket. The third and fourth place teams
from Pools AA and BB will advance to the SILVER Bracket. The first
and second place teams from Pools CC and DD will advance to the
BRONZE Bracket. The third and fourth place teams from Pools CC and
DD will advance to the COPPER Bracket.
