Tournament begins at 8:00am
Doors open at 7:00am

13-Team Tournament Information:
For pools of 4 teams, the best of 3 sets will win matches.  For
pools of 3 teams, the best of 5 sets will win matches. Each
non-deciding set will be won by the team that first scores 25
points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring cap). If there
is a deciding set, it will be won by the team that first scores 15
points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring cap). Change
sides when a team earns 8 points. A point will be scored on each
rally. If the receiving team wins the rally, they score a point
and gain the serve. 

Pool Play (4 team pool):
1 vs. 3 (2), 2 vs. 4 (1), 1 vs. 4 (3), 2 vs. 3 (1), 3 vs. 4 (2), 1
vs. 2 (4)

3 team pool:
1 vs. 3 (2), 2 vs. 3 (1), 1 vs. 2 (3)  BEST OF 5 SETS!

Tournament format: 
All teams advance.  All teams must be ranked within their pools
based on match percentage first.  For any ties, use the tie
breaking procedure.  All first-place and second-place teams to the
Gold playoffs.  All third-place and fourth-place teams to the
Silver playoffs. Playoff positions on the tournament brackets will
be based on pool finish to avoid teams from the same pool playing
each other in the first round.

Support Officials (Team Duties):
A coach must be courtside if their team is acting as the support
team. For pool play and tournament, teams are required to supply
the following support officials for pool play and for the
playoffs: one second referee, two line judges, one scorer, one
assistant scorer/Libero tracker, and one scoreboard operator.
Support officials are to report to their court’s referee as
follows: The R2 and Scorer should report to the referee on that
court in time to attend the coin toss. If they are not present by
the beginning of the first timed four-minute warm-up period, their
team will be penalized one point (awarded to their opponent in the
first set of their next scheduled match) for every minute that
they are late. The rest of the support crew (line judges,
scoreboard operator and libero tracker) must report to their
court’s referee no later than the beginning of the second timed
warm-up, or their team will be penalized one point per minute
(awarded to their opponent in the first set of their next
scheduled match) for every minute they are late.

Maverick Rules:
1.  No chairs are permitted in the facility.  Bleacher seating is
provided.
2.  No outside food or coolers are permitted inside the Maverick
facility.  Concessions are provided beginning at   
    8:00am.
3.  There is no room for "camping".  Please leave blankets,
pillows, etc in your vehicles.
4.  PLEASE DO NOT BRING BALLS FOR WARM-UPS!  We provide a ball
cart and balls for each court.  We will not be   
    responsible for your lost or stolen balls.

Awards:
Awards will be given to first and second place teams in the GOLD
division.

Cancellation Policy:
Tournaments will not be cancelled unless there is a Level 3 Snow
Emergency or a "no travel" order.  All coaches and/or club
directors will be contacted and a notice will be posted on this
page.
