Directions

  • There is a considerable amount of road construction around the Wooster area. Please follow signs carefully.

  • From the north:

    Take I-71 South to State Route 83 South exit (Lodi/Wooster). Follow State Route 83 South around the edge of Wooster. Exit on State Route 30 West/State Route 3 South. Take this exit and continue on 30W until the second exit, State Route 3 South (Loudonville). Exit here and follow Route 3 South approximately 3 miles until State Route 226 exits to the left. Follow Route 226 South for approximately 1 mile. Triway High School is on your right.

  • From the south (Columbus area):

    Take I-71 North to State Route 30 East (Wooster exit). Follow State Route 30 East to the edge of Wooster. Exit on State Route 3 South. Turn left at top of the exit ramp and proceed approximately 3 miles until State Route 226 exits to the left. Follow Route 226 South for approximately 1 mile. Triway High School is on your right.

  • From the south (New Philadelphia area):

    Take I-77 North to State Route 250 West (Strasburg exit). Follow 250 West until you reach the State Route 83 North/State Route 3 North exit. Take this exit and proceed approximately 2 miles to State Route 30 West exit. Get on State Route 30 West and continue to the second exit, Route 3 South, Loudonville. Exit on State Route 3 South and follow for approximately 3 miles. State Route 226 South will exit to your left. Proceed on Route 226 for approximately one mile. Triway High School is on your right.

  • From the Canton area:

    Take State Route 30 West to Wooster. Exit on State Route 3 South and follow for approximately 3 miles. State Route 226 South will exit to your left. Proceed on Route 226 for approximately one mile. Triway High School is on your right.

Tournament Information

Welcome to Triway local schools.

Please respect the building that they allow us to use. Pick-up
after yourselves.

Pool 1 will be played in the Main high school gym.
Pool 2 will be in the Aux. Gym behind the High School (enter the
main door)
Pool 3 will be played at the Jr. High (locate in the west end of
the parking lot)

Door opens at 7:30 AM. There is a mandatory coaches’ meeting at
8:00 AM. Officials are required to be present. The tournament
starts at 8:30 A.M. sharp. 

Pool play is the best of three sets with rally scoring. Each
non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point
advantage (no scoring cap.) The deciding set, if needed, will be
to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage (no scoring
cap.)All warm-ups will use the 2-4-4 format; 2-minutes shared
court,4-minutes Serving Team, 4-minutes Serve Receiving team.
Teams may request the referee to tell them when to serve, usually
one minute.

CAMPING 

Player’s bags and equipment are not allowed in the gym 
area. Camping will be behind the bleachers for the team playing at
the high school and the aux. gym. Teams playing at the Jr. High
can camp in the halls.  

Ball Handling and Horse Play in the
camping area are not permitted. NO OUTSIDE FOOD IS ALLOWED. 
Keep all coolers in cars. Coolers are prohibited in and outside
facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events.

Triway runs a great Concession Stand with a variety of 
healthy foods. 

Seating is not provided for the teams playing in the aux.gym, so
please bring a chair. There are bleachers for teams at the high
school, and Jr. high.

Teams will officiate according the above schedule for pool play.

This tournament will be ran according to the OVR 12 team
assignment. Gold bracket will be played at the High school. Silver
bracket will be played at the Jr. High. T-shirts will be
awarded to the winning Gold Bracket team.  

1. During each team’s full-court warm-up segment, the opposing
team may NOT practice with balls in the free zone surrounding the
court. Teams must go to their team bench. USAV rulebook, page 26,
7.2.2B

2. We will be adhering to the procedures and penalties for
support
officials during pool play and tournament (Item 6.3)

3. Coaches and Player who are not complete with their
registration
will not be permitted to participate in OVR Sanctioned events.  


Team/Tournament Cancellation: Per OVR regulations- a team
canceling after the entry deadline will forfeit its entry fee. A
team canceling prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its
full entry fee if a replacement is found. A team canceling from
this tournament to enter a different tournament will forfeit its
entry fee.

If Wayne County is under a level 3 snow emergency, the tournament
will be cancelled.  For any reason the tournament is canceled, a
notice will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament List. Club
directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted via
email
as soon as possible.  Entry fees will be returned.
