  • Coming from the east:

    • Interstate 70 Exit 169 - New Concord
    • Turn right at the stop sign at the end of exit.
    • Turn right at the red light onto Main Street.
    • Go about 100 yards and turn left at the Starfire Gas Station onto Comin Street.
    • Recreation Center at the top of the hill on the right.

  • Coming from the west:

Tournament Information

Teams may enter by:

1) Sending an entry fee of 175.00 made payable to Elizabeth Zicha and mailed 
to Elizabeth Zicha 50 Shadyside Drive  New Concord, OH  43762

2) Providing the team 11 digit ID number and team contact name and address information

3) Do the following by January 15, 2011

Thank you for your interest in our tournaments.  Team rosters will be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the tournament.  Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified.  The coaches meeting is at 8:30 and the tournament will start at 9:00 am.  Pool play is the best of three sets with rally scoring.  Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two point advantage(no scoring cap).  The deciding set, if needed, will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage (no scoring cap).  All warm-ups will use the 2-3-3 format: 2 minutes shared court, 4 minutes Serving team, 4 minutes Receiving team.  Teams may request the referee to tell them when to serve which is usually one minute

Teams 1 - 4 (pool play winners and 2nd place teams) go to the Gold playoffs and teams 5 - 8 (third and fourth place teams) go to the Silver playoffs.  The lowest seeded team in each division not playing the first round of the playoffs will officiate the first playoff match.  Tournament play will be the best of three sets.  After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before leaving, must stay and officiate the next match.

The doors of the facility will open at 8:00 am and team camps will be placed in areas designated by signs within the facility

Keep all coolers in cars.  Coolers are prohibited in and outside facilities hosting OVR sanctioned events.  Setting up tables and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents are prohibited at OVR sanctioned events.  A concession stand will be provided at the tournament site.

Seating for spectators will be provided as well as room for chairs as determined by the facility manager.  

Team/Tournament Cancellation:  Per OVR regulations - a team canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee.  A team canceling prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full entry fee if a replacement is found.  A team canceling from this tournament to enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee.

If Muskingum County is under a Level 3 Emergency, the tournament is canceled.  For any reason the tournament is canceled, a notice will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament List.  Club directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted by phone or email as soon as possible.  Entry fees will be returned within 3 days of the cancellation.
