Directions

From the North: Take State Route 49, 118 or U S Rt 127 south till you get to State Rt 47 turn right (west) till you get to the intersection of S R 47 and Staudt Rd. which is 4 miles east of Union City. From 49 it would be about 4 miles

• From the South: Take State Rt 49, 118 or US 127 north to SR 47. Turn left (west) till you get to the intersection of SR 47 and Staudt Rd., which is 4 miles east of Union City.

• From the East: Take 70W to SR 49 or US 127, then follow the directions as you are south of the school.

Tournament Information

Teams may enter Mississinawa Valley tournaments by sending an
entry fee ($175), 11 digit team ID#, team contact(phone number
and
email address) by January 15, once I have confirmed your spot.

I would like to welcome you to Mississinawa Valley's volleyball
tournament.  The tournament will start promptly at 9:00 am. 
Doors
will open at 8:00 am, with a coaches meeting at 8:30 am in the
Jackson Gym.  The use of balls outside the gym is not permitted
in
either building.  Courts 1 and 2 will be in the Jackson Gym (Back
Building), Court 3 will be in the Nest (Front Building).  Prizes
will be awarded for first and second place.  In the Nest, there
is
plenty of bleacher seating, NO CHAIRS ARE ALLOWED.  In the
Jackson
Gym, Chairs are allowed, but space is limited. There are two rows
of bleacher seating. No Cup Beverages are allowed in the Jackson
Gym.  The Gold Bracket will be held in the Jackson Gym.

Pools for the tournament will be posted by Tuesday night before
the tournament.  Pool play will be the best of 3 sets. Each
non-deciding game will be to 25 (win by 2 - no cap).  Each
deciding game will be to 15 (win by 2 - no cap).  All warm-ups
will use the 2-4-4 format, (2 minutes shared, 4 minutes for the
serving team, 4 minutes for the receiving team).  Match order
will
be as follows:  Team in () is the reffing team.

Match #6  1 vs 2 (4)
The top 2 teams out of each pool plus the 2 best 3rd place teams,
will go to the Gold Bracket in the Jackson Gym. The remaining
teams will go to the Silver Bracket in the Nest Gym. After losing
in tournament play, losing team must stay and ref the following
game.  First and Second Place Gold shall receive prizes.

Keep all coolers in your vehicles. Coolers are prohibited in and
outside facilities hosting OVR sanctioned events.  No outside
food
is to be brought into the school.  Setting up of tables and/or
cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches or parents
is prohibited at OVR sancationed events.  A full concession stand
will be available all day at the tournament, ran by the
Mississinawa Valley Athletic Boosters.

Team cancellations:  Per OVR regulations - A team canceling after
the entry deadline will forfeit its entry fee.  A team canceling
prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full entry fee
if
a replacement team is found. A team cancelling from this
tournament to enter a different tournament will forfeit it's
entry
fee.

If Darke County is under a level 3 Snow Emergency, the tournament
will be cancelled.  If the tournament is cancelled, a notice will
be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament site. 
Directors,Coaches, and Officials will be contacted as soon as
possible.  Entry fees will be returned.
