Tournament Information

Teams may enter the Flash-Conneaut Lake 18R tournament by sending
an entry fee ($160), team 11 digit ID#, and team contact name and
address by January 15.

Thank you for your interest in our tournaments. Team rosters will
be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the tournament.
Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified. A coaches’
meeting at 8:10 AM in the lobby of the school will take place
prior to the start of the tournament. The tournament starts at
8:30 A.M. sharp. 

Ovr tournament procedure will be followed in every aspect for the
entire tournament.  Pool play is the best of three sets with rally
scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum
two-point advantage (no scoring cap.) The deciding set, if needed,
will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage (no
scoring cap.) All warm-ups will use the 2-4-4 format; 2-minutes
shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team, 4-minutes Serve Receiving
team. Teams may request the referee to tell them when to serve,
usually one minute.

Teams will officiate according the above schedule for pool play. 

All teams advance. All teams must be ranked within their pools
based on match percentage first.  Ties will be broken by OVR
procedure.  All first-place, second-place, and the top two
third-place teams to the Gold playoffs. The remaining third-place
and all fourth-place teams to the Silver playoffs. Playoff
positions on the tournament brackets will be based on pool finish
to avoid teams from the same pool playing each other in the first
round.  Tee-shirts will be awarded to the first and second place
teams of the Gold bracket.

Please note, the doors of the playing site will not be unlocked
until 7:00 AM.  Team camps are only permitted in the designated
areas only.  The use of any ball outside of the gymnasium is not
permitted while inside the building. 

Keep all coolers in cars. Coolers are prohibited in and outside
facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events. Setting up tables and/or
cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents
are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events. A concession will be
provided at the tournament site.  Outside food is permitted at
this tournament, but keep drinks out the gym. 

Seating for spectators will be provided in the gymnasium. Only
those teams currently playing in a match are permitted on the
gymnasium floor. 

Tournament checks will be deposited February 15, 2009, unless a
later date has been requested by your team representative. 

Team/Tournament Cancellation: Per OVR regulations- a team
canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the
tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee. A team canceling
prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full entry fee if
a replacement is found. A team canceling from this tournament to
enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee. 

If Crawford County is under a Level 3 Emergency, the tournament
will be canceled. If for any reason the tournament is canceled, a
notice will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament list. Club
directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted (phone,
email) as soon as possible. Entry fees will be returned within 3
days of the cancellation.
