Each team will be designated an area within our team room.  Please keep all team gear (blankets, bags, ball bags, etc.) in this room when not playing to keep seating areas available for spectators in the gym.  Please keep all volleyballs in ball bags or carts when outside of the gym.  This helps save our ceiling tiles. 

 

Team t-shirts and MVP buttons will be distributed at the coaches meeting.  Each team will receive 3 buttons, one for each pool play match.  Please quickly award 1 to a player from the opposing team following your match.  These awards are in memory of Kenslee Brandon, a member of East Ohio Force VBC and a teammate of my daughter, who tragically passed away in 2020.

Tournament Format:

All teams will be ranked within their pools based on match percentage first. For any ties, we use the OVR tie-breaking procedure. Teams 1-4 (pool play winners and 2nd place teams) go into the Gold playoffs. Teams 5-8 (third and fourth place teams) go into the Silver bracket. Playoff positions on the tournament brackets will be based on pool finish to avoid teams from the same pool playing each other in the first round. The tournament will be the best of three sets. After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before leaving, must stay and officiate the next match.

 

Team rosters will be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the tournament. Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified. There will be a coaches' meeting at 8:00 AM which will take place prior to the start of pool play. Warm-ups begin at 8:15 am. The tournament pool play starts at 8:30 am sharp.

Team entry requests will be acknowledged via email, and will be finalized once entry fee has been received. Please include the 11-character team code with your entry fee (or as soon as it is available)

 

Awards:

Awards will be given to the first & second place teams in both the gold and silver brackets. 

 

For Spectators:

Admission fee is $5.  NO OUTSIDE SEATING IS PERMITTED.  We have bleacher seating and chairs will be provided for overflow areas.  There will be a full concession stand on site with eating areas. 

Our welcome Center will be open from 9:00am – 1:00pm and is FREE of Charge
