Currently Kids America is not limiting spectators and does not require masks to be worn. However, this is subject to change based on the COVID-19 guidelines set forth by our County Health Department. Any changes will be posted on this page, closer to the date of the event.

Additionally, doors will open at 7:00am to allow more time for teams and spectators to get set up and situated for a full day of OVR volleyball! We are trying to limit the "mad rush" at opening. We hope your teams and parents find this helpful.

Team rosters will be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the tournament. Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified. There will be a coaches' meeting at 8:00 AM which will take place prior to the start of pool play. Warm-ups begin at 8:15 am. The tournament pool play starts at 8:30 am sharp.

Team entry requests will be acknowledged via email, and will be finalized once entry fee has been received. Please include the 11-character team code with your entry fee (or as soon as it is available)

1.     All confirmed entry requests will be managed on the tournament information page of each event. Entries will be moved to the OVR tournament listing page once they have been finalized. All entries are considered "tentative" until finalized. 

2.     Any entries which are not finalized by December 1st may be moved to the waitlist to accommodate other interested clubs.     

3.     Any cancellations after December 1st will result in forfeiture of entry fee unless a paid replacement team is found.

Pool Format:

Pool pay is the best of three sets with rally scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage(no scoring cap). The deciding set, if needed will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage(no scoring cap). All warm-ups will use the 2-4-4 format; 2-minutes shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team, 4-minutes Serve Receiving team. Teams may request the referee to tell them when to serve, usually one minute.

Teams will officiate according to the above schedule for pool play.

Tournament Format:

All teams will be ranked within their pools based on match percentage first. For any ties, use the OVR tie-breaking procedure. All first-place, and second-place teams go into the Gold playoffs. All third-place and fourth-place teams go into the Silver playoffs. Playoff positions on the tournament brackets will be based on pool finish to avoid teams from the same pool playing each other in the first round. To avoid third-place teams playing a team from their pool for the first tournament match, a tournament director can choose to switch best third place and second-best third-place teams on the tournament bracket if both teams consent to the change. The lowest-seeded team in each division not playing the first round of the playoffs will officiate the first playoff match. The tournament will be the best of three sets. After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before leaving, must stay and officiate the next match. 

Awards:

Medals will be awarded to the first and second place teams in the Gold Tournament Bracket. 

Team/Tournament cancellation:

Teams withdrawing after December 1^st, 2022 are responsible for the full entry fee unless a replacement team is found.

If Coshocton County is under a level 3 Snow Emergency, the tournament will be canceled and all entry fees will be refunded. Listen to WTNS FM 99.3 Coshocton (www.mywtnsradio.com) for details. Tournament site info:

The doors of the playing site will open at 7:00 AM. Visiting team camps will be in the designated camping room adjacent to the mini soccer field. Keep all coolers in cars. Coolers are prohibited in and outside of facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events. Setting up tables and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events. A full concession stand with reasonable prices will be provided at the tournament site.

Seating:

We have balcony seating as well as limited space for court seating with personal camping chairs. No chairs will be permitted on the end lines or between the courts. Each team will have a designated box for seating which will be clearly marked. All spectators from the same team will be asked to sit together. This ensures all teams have equal opportunity to be represented with fans on the floor.
