Tournament Information

Seating will be provided.  NO outside chairs will be permitted in the building.  There will be a concession stand with a variety of items available for purchase.  Doors will open at 7:10A and the tournament will start at 8:00A.

Box 5  East Palestine, OH 44413.  Any questions, please email klmckinstry5@gmail.com or call/text 330.853.2290.  The tournament will be held in the E. Palestine High School gym (2 courts) and the E. Palestine Middle School gym (1 court).  They are located next to each other at 360 W. Grant St., East Palestine, OH 44413.  Team rosters will be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the tournament.  Please make sure each head coach has IMPACT certification.

A coaches meeting will be held at 7:40A on Court 1 prior to the start of the tournament.  The tournament starts at 8:00A.  Pool play is the best of three sets.  Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap).  The deciding set, if needed, will be to 15 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap).  First warm-up for each team will consist of 7-4-4 with subsequent warm-ups at 2-4-4.  The top two teams from each pool will qualify for Gold Bracket with the two highest third place teams also qualifying for Gold.  Four teams will be placed in the Silver Bracket.

Tournament play will be the best of three sets.  After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before leaving, must stay and officiate the next match.  Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place teams in the Gold Bracket.  Team camps will be to the north of the High School gym.  Please keep all coolers in cars as they are prohibited in and outsi the facility.  No outside food is permitted in the facility.

If the tournament is cancelled, club directors and/or coaches plus officials will be contacted by either phone or email as soon as possible.  Tournament cancellations will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament list.  Entry fees will be returned in 5-7 days of the cancellation.
