Directions

  • From Erie International Airport/Tom Ridge Field:

    Turn right as you exit the airport and follow Route 5 East for 3.5 miles to I-79 south. Take I-79 South 4 miles to Exit 178A, turning onto I-90 East. Proceed for 10 miles. Take Exit 32 (Wesleyville), and follow Route 430 West for 1 mile.

  • From Pittsburgh (south):

    Take I-279 North to I-79 North to I-90 East. Continue on I-90 East to Exit 32 (Wesleyville) and follow Route 430 West for 1 mile. (Approximately 2½ hours from downtown Pittsburgh.)

  • From Cleveland (west):

    Take I-90 East into Pennsylvania to Exit 32 (Wesleyville) and follow Route 430 West for 1 mile. (Approximately 2 hours from downtown Cleveland.)

  • From Buffalo and Rochester (east):

    Take I-90 West into Pennsylvania to Exit 32 (Wesleyville) and follow Route 430 West for 1 mile. (Approximately 1½ hours from downtown Buffalo.)

  • From State College and Harrisburg:

    Take Route 322 West to Route 970 North (Woodland). Take Route 970 North for about 2 miles to I-80. Follow I-80 West to I-79 North. Take I-79 North to I-90 East. Continue on I-90 East to Exit 32 (Wesleyville) and follow Route 430 West for 1 mile. (Approximately 3¾ hours from State College.)

The tournament will be at the Junker Center on the Campus
of Penn State Behrend in Erie, PA.

Doors open at 7:30 a.m.
Coaches meeting at 8:10 a.m. on Court 1
Pool Play begins at 8:30 a.m.

POOL PLAY
=========
This will ideally be a 3 court tournament.
   There are bleachers, many with seat backs, for fans.
   Areas for folding chairs is extremely limited.

TOURNAMENT PLAY PROCEDURES - Updated 4/14/18

We currently have 10 teams entered.
All Pool Seeding, Pool Play Format, Bracket Seeding and Play
Sequence, as well as team awards, will be done according to
standard OVR Tournament Procedures.

the 4 team pool will play regular round robin best of 3 matches
the 3 team pools will play round robin best of 3 matches, then
play
one cross over match the other 3 team pool.  Since there are not
'off'
matches, there is a break built in prior to the cross over
matches

Work teams are to provide:
  1 Down official (R2), 1 Scorekeeper (SK), 1 Libero tracker (LT)
  1 Score Flipper, and 2 Line Judges (LJs) 

PLAYOFFS
========
All teams advance following tournament procedures in link above.

CONCESSIONS
===========
A full concession stand will be run by the PS Behrend VB team.
Several fast food and pizza places are also located nearby.
No coolers or outside food are allowed into the facility.

TEAM ENTRY CANCELLATIONS
========================
A team cancelling after the entry deadline (14 days prior to the
tournament date) will forfeit its entry fee. A team cancelling
prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full entry fee
if a replacement team is found.

TOURNAMENT CANCELLATION POLICY
==============================
In the event of a Level 3 Emergency in Erie County, we will
follow the OVR Tournament Cancellation Policy:
a. Tournament directors will make a timely decision and notify
club directors, coaches, and officials of any change to a
tournament’s status.
b. If a tournament site is in a location where the local
authorities have issued a “no travel” order, the tournament
director shall honor that request and cancel the tournament.
c. A team which originates in a county of a “no travel” order and
not in attendance at a tournament with no travel restrictions
will be given a full refund of its entry fee.
