Tournament Information

TO ENTER THIS TOURNAMENT PLEASE SEND TEAM NAME, OVR NUMBER, AND CHECK FOR $175.00 PAYABLE TO, TAP OUT VBC,

TOURNAMENT STARTS AT 9:00 AM, COACHES MEETING ON COURT 1 AT 8:30 AM, OVR TOURNAMENT FORMAT FOR 12 TEAMS WILL BE FOLLOWED:
For pools of 4 teams, the best of 3 sets will win matches. Each non-deciding set will be won by the
team that first scores 25 points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring cap). If there is a
deciding set, it will be won by the team that first scores 15 points with a minimum 2-point
advantage (no scoring cap). Change sides when a team earns 8 points. A point will be scored on each
rally. If the receiving team wins the rally, they score a point and gain the serve.

Tournament format: All teams advance. All teams must be ranked within their pools based on match percentage 
first. For any ties, use the tie-breaking procedure below. All first-place, second-place, and the top two 
thirdplace teams to the Gold playoffs. The remaining third-place and all fourth-place teams to the Silver
playoffs.
Playoff positions on the tournament brackets will be based on pool finish to avoid teams from the
same pool playing each other in the first round. To avoid third-place teams playing a team from
their pool for the first tournament match, a tournament director can choose to switch best thirdplace
and second-best third-place teams on the tournament bracket if both teams consent to the
change.
Seeding procedure: Pool A = Seeds 1, 6, 7, 12     Pool B = Seeds 2, 5, 8, 11   Pool C= Seeds 3, 4, 9, 10

NO CHAIRS ARE PERMITTED ON THE GYM FLOOR, BLEACHER SEATING IS AVAILABLE.  
PRIZES WILL BE AWARD TO THE FIRST PLACE TEAM.
A FULL CONCESSION STAND WILL BE AVAILABLE WITH GREAT FOOD AND PRICES.
IF MORROW COUNTY IS UNDER A LEVEL 3 SNOW EMERGENCY THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE CANCELLED, IT WILL BE POSTED ON 
THE OVR WEB SITE AND ALL CLUB DIRECTORS WILL BE NOTIFIED.
