Tournament Information

In the 18s, there are still 17 teams registered.  So one team will
not participate.  I have expanded the number of courts out to five
only so you can see where everyone is ranked.  There will still
only be 4 courts available and so only the top 16 teams registered
will play.

There is a three way tie on seeding points rankings between London
Elite, Grandlake and ALETA.  To break 
the ties I rolled a dice.

Since this is a qualifying event, club directors decided not to
move teams from the same club out of the same initial pool.

Coaches Meeting at 8 am.  First matches are at 8:30 am.

Only the top 16 by rank as of the Tuesday before the tournament
will participate.

Registration for teams will remain open until February 1st.  At
that time I will not accept any more registrations.

This tournament is restricted to Ohio Valley Region teams only.

This is a special tournament for 18 Regional Division teams to
earn a spot in the OVR National Bid Tournament.  The OVR National
Bid Tournament is normally restricted to just teams registered as
National Division teams.  This Play-In Tournament allows 18
Regional teams to try to earn a spot in the Bid Tournament.  The
top two teams from this event are guaranteed a spot in the Bid
Tournament.  If more spots are available in the Bid Tournament
then the 3rd and 4th place teams may also be invited to play in
the Bid Tournament.

If more than 16 teams register for a particular age division, then
only the top 16 ranked teams according to the OVR seeding system
at noon on Tuesday, March 12th will participate

This Play-In Tournament is only open to teams serious about
playing in the Bid Tournament.  Do not enter this tournament if
you are not willing to participate in the Bid Tournament.  If you
earn a spot in the Bid Tournament and do not participate, your
club will not be allowed to participate in the Play-In Tournament
the next season.

All seven Play-In Tournaments are considered one event.  So a
player may participate for only one team across both weekends.

Grade-level teams are not allowed into this event.  Your team must
be age appropriate for the division you enter.


Entry fee is $180 US per team.  Please write your entry fee check

Checks should be mailed by January 1, 2013.  Checks are not
deposited until the weekend of the event.  If you are entering
teams in multiple events, you may want to send a separate check
per event.
