Thank you for your interest in our tournament. The doors will open at 7:30am. A coaches meeting will be held at 8:00am in the main gym and the tournament starts sharply at 8:30am.
COVID TOURNAMENT PROTOCOL:
PARENTS ONLY. TWO parents/guardians will be allowed access per player. No siblings/kids will be allowed in the tournament. If your player is not playing at the time, we ask you leave the main gym.
- There is a $5.00 entry fee for spectators. The entry fee will be CASH ONLY. Exact change would be best.
- Upon entry, the parent/guardian will verify their player on the team’s roster and be presented with a ticket.
IF you are experiencing any of the following symptoms prior to your arrival, PLEASE STAY HOME:
- Fever or chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
If you have had close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please adhere to recommended guidelines for quarantining.
Masks/face coverings must be worn at all times when in the facility (unless you are on the court playing or warming up)
Pool play is the best of three sets with rally scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap.) The deciding set, if needed, will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage (no scoring cap.)

Teams will officiate according the above schedule for pool play.
Teams 1-8 (1st and 2nd place in pool play and the best two 3rd place teams) go to the gold playoffs. Teams 9-12 (the remaining third place team and fourth place teams) go to the silver playoffs. The lowest seeded team in each division not playing the first round of the playoffs will officiate the first playoff match. Tournament play will be the best of three sets. After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before leaving, must stay and officiate the next match.
Since all teams advance to playoffs, ties will not be decided by playing a set.
1. If 2 teams from the same pool are tied, their head to head match determines the order of finish.
2. If 3 teams from the same pool are tied after match and set % and point differential have been calculated, a coin flip will determine their order of finish.
Please note, the doors of the playing site will not be unlocked until 7:30 AM. At Leipsic High School, team camps are only permitted in the Commons area. No teams will be allowed to camp out in the hallways or stage area during the tournament. The use of any ball outside of the gymnasium is not permitted while inside the building.
MATCH AND WARMUP PROTOCOLS:
NO CHANGE OF COURTS BETWEEN SETS. To minimize the necessity to constantly clean team benches/bench areas between sets, we will not be changing courts during a match, including the deciding set 8-point switch.

Masks will be optional for players playing the match. Players on the bench will need to follow the mask protocol.
NO CHAIRS. Bleacher seating will be provided. We ask, if your athlete is not playing you leave the gymnasium.
Please sit six feet away from other families and in every other row.
Each team will be assigned a table in the cafeteria to place their bags.
It is being asked, if a team is not playing or if players are not refereeing players should remove themselves from the gyms
A Concession stand will be provided.
Coolers are prohibited in and outside facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events.
Setting up tables and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events.
Team/Tournament Cancellation: Per OVR regulations- a team canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee. A team canceling prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full entry fee if a replacement is found. A team canceling from this tournament to enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee.
If Putnam County is under a Level 3 Emergency, the tournament will be cancelled. For any reason the tournament is cancelled, a notice will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament list. Club directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted (phone, email) as soon as possible. Entry fees will be returned within 3 days of the cancellation.
