Tournament Information

Teams may enter V5 Volleyball Club tournaments by sending an entry
fee ($190), team 11 digit ID#, and team contact name and address
by January 15th, 2018.

Thank you for your interest in our tournaments.  Team rosters will
be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the
tournament.  Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified.  A
coaches' meeting at 8:00 AM at the playing site will take place
prior to the start of the tournament.  The tournament starts at
8:30 AM Sharp at The Spike Center Center.  Pool pay is the best of
three sets with rally scoring.  Each non-deciding set will be to
25 points with a minimum two-point advantage(no scoring cap). 
The deciding set, if needed will be to 15 points with a minimum
two point advantage(no scoring cap).  All warm-ups will use the
2-4-4 format; 2-minutes shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team,
4-minutes Serve Receiving team.  Teams may request the referee to
tell them when to serve, usually one minute.

Prizes will be awarded for Gold Division Winners.  

Pool play format:	2 courts, 3 Referees, 6 teams, 14 matches									
	For 2 pools of 3 teams on 2 courts, the b est of 3 sets w ill win match es. Each	
	non-deciding set will be won by the team		that first sc ores 25 point s with a mini mum
	2-point advan tage (no scori ng cap). If there is a deciding set, it will be won by t he team
	t hat first scores 15 points with a minimum 2-point ad vantage (no scoring cap). Change
	sides when a t eam earns 8 p oints. Point will be scored on each rall y. If the recei ving
	te am wins the rally, they sc ore a point an d gain the serve.				
	A fter the first round, teams will be re-se eded based o n pool results. The second round
	m atches will determine pla yoff positions on the tourn ament bracket.	
Seeding procedure:	Teams will be seeded into t wo groups as follows:						
				Pool A :	Seed #1		Seed #4			Se ed #5	
				Pool B :	Seed #2		Seed #3			Se ed #6	

Please note, the doors of the playing site will not be unlocked
until 7:30 AM at The Spike Center, team camps will be permitted in
the assigned area which court 3.  No teams will be allowed to camp outside of
these designated areas.  

FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES the camping area is restricted to players,
officials and OVR/USVA registered individuals. Ball Handling and
Horse Play in the camping area is not permitted. Camping area is
restricted to players, officials and OVR/USVA registered

There will NOT be a concession stand, please plan accordingly. We have vending machines and pop and water to sell.  
There are several fast food restaurants within 1 mile of the facility.  - Individual portions are allowed in a
player's bag.  

Keep all coolers in cars. Coolers are prohibited in and outside facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events. 

Setting up tables and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents are prohibited 
at OVR-sanctioned events.
Please NO TEAM BUFFETS.  Team buffets will be confiscated if found.


This is a practice facility that has been converted to host tournaments.  
All seating for spectators will be limited to the bleachers and upper balcony area.  
You may stand or sit on floor along sidelines to view the matches if the bleachers are full.  
Chairs may NOT be brought by spectators, so please share the bleachers with teams that are currently playing.
Handicapped and elderly will be the only ones able to have chairs, but NO ONE ELSE.  This is not our rule 
but the Fire Marshall. 
Because of the limits of amount of chairs in our building you may possibly have to stand or sit on 
the court area to watch your team play.  
You also may stand in the balcony area or you may sit on the 
floor or upstairs in balcony area between matches.  
TEAMS that are not playing are to only be on COURT #3.  
TEAMS NOT PLAYING OR REFFING MUST STAY in the court #3 area to avoid congestion. 
The entire court #3 will be reserved for team and official seating.  No playing on court #3.

Tournament checks will be deposited the week of tournament.  

Team/Tournament cancellation:  Per OVR regulations- a team
canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the
tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee.  A team canceling
does not forfeit its full entry fee if a replacement is found.  A
team canceling from this tournament to enter a different
tournament will forfeit its entry fee.

If Morrow County is under a level 3 Emergency, the tournament will
be canceled.  For any reason the tournament is canceled, a notice
will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament list.  Club
directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted (phone,
email) as soon as possible.  Entry fees will be returned within 5
days of the cancellation.
