Tournament Information

The 10U and 11U divisions of the Shoreline Showdown are seeded. We have chosen not to run these divisions in AES to keep things as simple as possible for these young ages and parents and grandparents new to navigating wave tournaments. 

Coaches:

  • Doors open at 7:00 AM - play starts at 8:00 AM.
  • Coaches meeting will be at 7:30 AM on first court in field house.
  • Camping area will be only in the field house along the walls.
  • Please bring your own balls and ball carts.
Coaches, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK-IN ONLINE ON THE OVR SITE! If you need to make corrections to your roster, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PRINTING YOUR ROSTER and bringing the corrected and signed copy with you!
 

Additional Information:

  • Admissions: Please note that there is a $10.00/day admission fee (anyone 19 years of age or older).
  • No bleacher seating is available.
  • Chairs are needed and allowed in designated areas.
  • Concessions will be available on-site. 
  • Coolers and outside food are NOT permitted.

Parking Informaiton:

    • The tournament is being held in the Ewing Center at 1005 N Abbe Rd, Elyria.
    • There is lots of parking in the front and back of the building.
    • The college is a smoke-free campus.
All teams must be present at the start time. Everyone is either playing or working!
When looking at the pools on the OVR site, the 10s first pool schedule will be as follows:
1 v 3 (2 refs), 2 v 3 (1 refs) 1 v 2 (3 refs). They will then have cross-overs and a re-pool for additional matches. 
 
The 11s will have a quick coaches meeting at 12:30 with play commencing at approximately 1pm. The 11s start with crossover pool play, so again, all teams must be present at the start time!
When looking at the pools on the OVR site, the 11s schedule will be as follows:
Court 1: A1 v C3 (C4 refs), A2 v C4 (C3 refs), 1 v 3 (2 refs), 2 v 4 (1 refs), 1 v 4 (3 refs), 2 v 3 (1 refs), 3 v 4 (2 refs), 1 v 2 (4 refs)
Court 2: B1 V D3 ( D4 refs), B2 v D4 (D3 refs), 1 v 3 (2 refs), 2 v 4 (1 refs), 1 v 4 (3 refs), 2 v 3 (1 refs), 3 v 4 (2 refs), 1 v 2 (4 refs)
Court 3: C1 v A3 (A4 refs), C2 v A4 (A3 refs), 1 v 3 (2 refs), 2 v 4 (1 refs), 1 v 4 (3 refs), 2 v 3 (1 refs), 3 v 4 (2 refs), 1 v 2 (4 refs)

They will play the first 6 matches of pool play on Saturday and matches 7 and 8 on Sunday morning before bracket play. 
 
The site director for this event is Kelly Whitsel, and she will have schedules posted on site.
 
1st and 2nd in GOLD will receive a plaque for the club and medals for the team. 
The two teams that tie for 3rd in GOLD will get medals.
