Teams may enter Coldwater High School club tournaments by sending an entry fee ($200), team 11 digit ID#, and team contact name and address by January 15th, 2018. Enclose a check for $200 made payable to "Coldwater Athletic Booster Club" by 1/15/18. Mail to: Coldwater Elementary c/o Mike Etzler 310 N. Second St. Coldwater, OH 45828 Thank you for your interest in our tournaments. Team rosters will be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the tournament. Please make sure your coach is IMPACT,Safesport and Concussion certified. Coaches who do have have completed certifications will not be allowed to coach per OVR Rules. Doors open at 7:30 AM. Coaches please check in at the table next to the concession stand to check/sign your rosters. A coaches' meeting at 8:00 AM at the playing site will take place prior to the start of the tournament. Pool play matches will begin at 8:30 AM. Pool pay is the best of three sets with rally scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage(no scoring cap). The deciding set, if needed will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage(no scoring cap). All warm-ups will use the 2-4-4 format; 2-minutes shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team, 4-minutes Serve Receiving team. Teams may request the referee to tell them when to serve, usually one minute. Match Order: [Team in()refs] Match 1 1 vs 3 (2) Match 2 2 vs 4 (1) Match 3 1 vs 4 (3) Match 4 2 vs 3 (1) Match 5 3 vs 4 (2) Match 6 1 vs 2 (4) Teams will officiate according to the above schedule for pool play. 1st and 2nd place finishers from each pool will advance to gold, 3rd place finishers will advance to silver, and 4th place finishers from each pool will advance to bronze. Prizes/Awards will be given to the 1st and 2nd place teams in the gold division. Please note that doors to the school will not be unlocked until 7:30 AM. Teams can camp in the main commons area only. Please do not camp in front of glass trophy cases. No camping will be allowed in the hallways. No ball handling will be allowed outside of the playing areas. Coolers and food: Keep all coolers in cars. Coolers (including soft sided) are prohibited in and outside facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events. Setting up tables and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events. Tournament directors and site managers do not have the discretion to grant permission. Tournament directors can permit teams to bring food into a designated area of the tournament facility. Some facilities do not permit outside food to be brought in to a tournament site. This is also allowed and will be enforced. If a club does not comply amicably with a tournament director's or site director's request, an Incident Report will be sent to Bob Price, OVR Commissioner, resulting in up to a $250 fine and a team/club suspension. A full, quality concession with reasonable prices will be provided at the tournament site. Spectator seating: NO CHAIRS CAN BE BROUGHT INTO THE FACILITY. If one is brought in, you will be asked to bring it back to your vehicle. Courts 1, 2, and 3 (Palace - HS Gym) have limited bleacher seating and chairs provided. Court 4 (Pit - JH Gym) has bleacher seating available. Team/Tournament cancellation: Per OVR regulations- a team canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee. A team canceling does not forfeit its full entry fee if a replacement is found. A team canceling from this tournament to enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee. If Mercer County is under a level 3 Emergency, the tournament will be canceled. For any reason the tournament is canceled, a notice will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament list. Club directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted (phone, email) as soon as possible. We look forward to hosting you at our tournament and facility!
