OVR HP Development Camp Is Full
The OVR HP Developmental Camp, which will be held July 7-9, 2016 at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. The camp will be led by Bou Chanthavisouk. Bou is currently coaching at the College of Wooster and was named the Division 2 National Assistant Coach of the year last year while at Gannon University. Current collegiate and club coaches will assist Bou. Space is limited to the 50 campers, as we want to keep the coach to player ratio at 1:5. The cost for this 3 day, 2 night camp is $350.00 and includes all training, room and board and 2 camp shirts. Here is the camp schedule and camp registration form
2017 OVR High Performance Girls Tryout Results
Thank you to all the players who tried out for the OVR Future Select and Select travel teams. We have listed below those players who are being invited back to the final tryout on May 12, 2017. The final tryout will be held at the Columbus Convention Center from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There is no additional charge for the call-back tryout.
If your number is listed below, you must accept your spot at the final tryout by Friday, May 5th. You can do that by emailing your name and tryout number to Michelle Hills at email@example.com. When you accept your spot at the final tryout, you are also indicating that you are willing to train and travel to Ft. Lauderdale for the USAV HP Championships in late July. Please do not accept the call back invitation if you are not serious about being considered for the travel team.
The coaches will be selecting 10-12 players from each age group to represent the OVR at the USAV championships. Players selected must be able to attend the training camp at Bowling Green State University July 14-16th. We will leave from BG on Sunday, July 16th and fly to Ft. Lauderdale from Detroit. We will return to the Detroit Airport on Sunday, July 23rd and players will be reunited with their families at BGSU in the evening of July 23rd. The cost for participation in the training camp and on the travel team is $750.00 per player and will be due by July 10th. The fee includes room and board and training sessions at BGSU; airfare and double room accommodations in Ft. Lauderdale, some meals and a uniform and gear package from Mizuno, USA.

2017 Boys' High Performance Teams
This year's group of 20 student-athletes represents 17 high schools from across the region. Each team of 10 athletes was chosen from tryouts within two age divisions: Youth (born in 1999 and 2000) and Select (born in 2001 or after). The players will participate in a two-day team camp at Bowling Green State University and then travel to Ft. Lauderdale to compete in the five-day Championships.
The OVR HP coaches will be Kyle Mars (Hiram College men's volleyball coach), Glenn Freed (Ambridge Area High School and Beaver Valley Premier club boys' volleyball coach), Dylan Kembre (OVR HP assistant coach), and Nathan Matthews (Tecumseh High School girls' volleyball coach, Miamisburg High School boys' volleyball coach).
