Registrations to date: 614 girls', 19 boys', 73 men’s, and 64 women's teams, totaling 7,651 individuals.
Award determined for adult championships.
International Children's Games (12s, 13s, 14s, 15s) coming to Cleveland in 2004: OVR will run the volleyball competition and enter our HP team.
Junior Championships
May 3&4 Junior Championships to be held at Westerville South HS, Pickerington HS, Olentangy HS, Grove City HS, Worthington Kilbourne HS, Hilliard City Schools, Reynoldsburg HS, Westland HS, and Otterbein College.
Elections
Brian Hemelgarn coordinating. Mail-in ballots for BoD election must include last 4 digits of SSN. Postmark deadline: Monday, May 20. Votes to be counted by Brian H. and John Buck. Ballot to be made available online. Profiles to be posted online and at voting sites.
Incident Report Form
Rick to develop a separate form for reporting significant conduct issues, negative or positive. Current Incident Report to be renamed Injury Report.

Glenn, Brian, Bob D. to set guidelines and nomination procedure.
Introductions
Ron, recognizing the value of face-to-face meetings, introduced John Leucken Jr., our legal counsel, and Larry Smith, our accountant, who answered questions and provided valuable information.
Baden volleyballs
Baden is now the official ball of the OHSAA. We will continue selling Baden balls generally and at the OHSAA clinic at Westerville North HS in August.
Junior Officiating
The current rating system appears to be working and will remain in place.
Coaching Education
Expect 400+ IMPACT certifications (8 clinics, 5 instructors).
In our requirements, “by second year” wording must be refined to make it clear that coaches must be IMPACT certified and club directors ASEP certified before their second year of activity.
CAP: 56 CAP I and 10 CAP II certifications (3 instructors).
HP team
Opportunities: World Tournament (previously the Colorado Cup) 7/22-28, Salt Lake City, 15s & 17s, 16-24 teams. AAU Junior National Championship: 6/13-18: any age group; lots of play.
HP coaches: advertising openings (e-mail, web), one strong application so far.
Kaepa will cover 24 girls and 4 coaches this year.

Much is on the way: form for reporting certified junior officials, additional tournament support, integration of registration database, elections, further tailoring presentation based on sign-in.

Financial review committee

Bid tournaments
Application process still needed from the national office. Information required by April 24: information needed for OVR verification by April 15. New cap of 4 bids: expect 18s-14s: 4, 13s: 2, 12s: 2-3 for Salt Lake City and 12-13: 1, 14-18: 2 for Louisville.
Junior Nationals
Price increase to $700 and $900.
Officials / coaches
Coaches should avoid officiating matches in which their own clubs are participating whenever possible.
Playing tournament directors
At Regionals, an Assistant Tournament Director shall be appointed while the primary tournament director is playing. Bob P. will serve in that capacity.
