Pool play format: 3 courts, 4 referees, 12 teams, 28 matches 3 pools of 4 teams

For pools of 4 teams, the best of 3 sets will win matches. Each non-deciding set will be won by the team that first scores 25 points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring cap). If there is a deciding set, it will be won by the team that first scores 15 points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring cap). A point will be scored on each rally. If the receiving team wins the rally, they score a point and gain the serve.

Teams from the same club, regardless of seed, should not be placed in the same pool.

 

Tournament format: All teams advance. All teams must be ranked within their pools based on match percentage first. For any ties, use the tie-breaking procedure below. All first-place, second-place, and the top two thirdplace teams to the Gold playoffs. The remaining third-place and all fourth-place teams to the Silver playoffs. Playoff positions on the tournament brackets will be based on pool finish to avoid teams from the same pool playing each other in the first round. To avoid third-place teams playing a team from their pool for the first tournament match, a tournament director can choose to switch best thirdplace and second-best third-place teams on the tournament bracket if both teams consent to the change.

Bellefontaine has 2 gyms, Court 1 and 2 are in the Main Gym, Court 3 is in the Aux Gym. 

There will be a full concession stand. There is no outside food allowed.

We are allowing 2 spectators per player. Spectators MUST WEAR A MASK. Spectators are asked to leave the building when they can, to practice social distancing at all times, and to LEAVE THE GYM while their daughters are not playing. If spectators do not follow rules, and social distancing is not followed, we will ask all spectators to leave for the remainder of the event.  

NO outside Chairs, there will be plenty of bleacher seating. 

 

10.12 Team withdraws due to Covid 19 restrictions.

Tournament or Site - REQUIRED CANCELLATION

All team entry fees, in FULL, are required to be returned within 10

days.

Team Cancellations: When a TEAM must withdraw from an event due to

required quarantine/cancellation, the following policy will be

enforced.

NO REFUND of event entry fee will be required of the event host. Every

effort must be made of the event host to replace the team withdrawing

and refund of entry fee made possible.

A PARTIAL REFUND may result from this effort. Many Tournament Directors

have made a “reduced entry fee proposal” to entice a late entry. The

difference in cost must be returned to the withdrawn team.
