Tournament Information

Teams may enter this tournament by sending an entry fee ($225), team 11 digit ID#, and team contact name/address by January 15th, 2020.

Enclose a check for $225 made payable to AIR CITY VOLLEYBALL. Mail to my HOME address: Monte Moser 3037 Larue Drive Kettering, OH 45429 ATTN: 4/11/20 Northmont Girls 12U Tournament. Do NOT mail payments to the school!

Thank you for your interest in our event. Team rosters will be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the tournament. Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified. A coaches' meeting at 8:05 AM at the playing site will take place prior to the start of the tournament. Pool play begins at 8:30 AM.

POOLS AND SCHEDULES WILL BE PUBLISHED AND EMAILED TO COACHES/CLUB DIRECTORS ON TUESDAY, APRIL 7TH, AFTER ALL SEEDING RESULTS HAVE BEEN UPDATED FROM ANY TOURNAMENTS CONDUCTED THE PRIOR WEEKEND.

Pool Phase: Pool play in a 4-team pool is the best of three sets with rally scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap). The deciding set, if needed will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage (no scoring cap). Pool play in a 3-team pool is the best of five sets with rally scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap). The deciding set, if needed will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage (no scoring cap). All warm-ups will use the 2-4-4 format; 2-minutes shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team, 4-minutes Serve Receiving team.

Playoff Phase: The Top 2 teams from each pool and Best 2 Third place teams will advance to an 8-team Gold Division playoff bracket. The remaining teams will advance to a 4-team Silver Division playoff bracket. All playoff matches are best of three sets with rally scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap). The deciding set, if needed will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage (no scoring cap). All warm-ups will use the 2-4-4 format; 2-minutes shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team, 4-minutes Serve Receiving team. Awards will be provided for the Gold Division champions and runners-up.

Please note, the doors of the playing site will not be unlocked until 7:30 AM! Keep all coolers and chairs in cars. Coolers are prohibited in and outside facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events. Setting up tables and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events.

The gym entrances are doors #11 and #12. Park in the lots on the south side of the school between the football stadium/softball field and the baseball field. A concession stand will be available from the Northmont High School volleyball boosters. Outside food is permitted but please support the local volleyball teams if you can. Bleacher seating for spectators is provided (again, no chairs needed or permitted on the courts). Open camping is available in the concessions/commons area and hallway north of the arena.

Tournament checks will be deposited January 15, 2020. Team/Tournament cancellation: Per OVR regulations- a team canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee. A team canceling does not forfeit its full entry fee if a replacement is found. A team canceling from this tournament to enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee.

If Montgomery County is under a level 3 Emergency, the tournament will be canceled. For any reason the tournament is canceled, a notice will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament list. Club directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted (phone, email) as soon as possible. Entry fees will be returned within 3 days of the cancellation.
