Considering that the team lost three All-WPIAL players at the end of June due to injuries, the team fared well. As last minute replacements, juniors Mike Frederick, Alex Kozlowski, and Jonathan Bodnar all had strong performances. Setter Karl Radke, OH Ryne Murray, and MH Matt Greenwell and led the team. Originally seeded 31st out of 32 teams, the team finished 26th.

WONDERFUL RENOVATIONS TO OUR FACILITY!! New bathrooms including a total of 9 new stalls for women, newly leveled graveled packing lot, new lighting in gym, new heating units in gym, improved sewer system, new painted lobby lounge, fully updated upstairs lounge and concessions area, updated heating, new nets! Coaches meeting time - 7:30am (doors to event open at 7:00)

Details of pool play-For pools of 4 teams, the best of 3 sets will win matches. Each non-deciding set will be won by the team that first scores 25 points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring cap). If there is a deciding set, it will be won by the team that first scores 15 points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring cap).

Playoff procedures-All teams advance to play offs. All teams must be ranked within their pools based on match percentage first.

Officiating procedures- When a team is assigned to officiate, they required to supply the following: one second referee, two line judges, one scorer, one assistant scorer/Libero tracker, and one scoreboard operator. Coaches are required to sit at the table with their teams. No cell phones may be out at the time of officiating matches.

 

Site-specific rules and information- There is bleacher seating around courts as well as some room for additional chairs. No Chairs are allowed on playing surface or behind courts. Please note that bleachers are metal and can feel cold in the winter so bleacher pads or seats are suggested for spectator comfort. Camping will be made available for teams on a 5th court at the end of the gym. There is no ball handling in the camping area. In addition, there is a lounge located upstairs that oversees the courts. Parents are welcomed to watch their players upstairs in a more peaceful and relaxing environment. The lounge has Internet access, a TV, and additional seating that overlooks the courts. Full concessions and addtional bathrooms are located upstaris in the lounge. No outside food or drink is permitted (please do not brng in panera, pizza etc- we underastnd the girls will have snacks)

Awards- Tournament prizes for overall winner and 2nd place of Gold bracket

Concessions –Full concessions will be available with a variety of fun and healthy options, ABSOLUTELY no outside food for drink according to OVR rules. All coolers must remain in cars.

Cancellation policy- Teams will be notified via email regarding any changes in the tournament. If weather issues require tournament cancellation, Teams will be notified no later than 24 hours prior to tournament.

Precautionary Steps- In order to make everything safer for all players, and spectators during this tournament, we want to have a couple different steps in place. No more pregame or post game high fives, and we wil be asking that no more than 2 parents come to the tournament. The less people we have as spectarors the better. We are a public facility and there will be other events going on.
