The registration deadline for this coming Friday\'s regional HP tryout in Columbus has come and gone. No more applications will be accepted for this tryout. Also, contrary to what several club directors are telling their members, there will not be any on-site registration at the tryout! Any players showing up at the tryout who did not register as of last week will be turned away at the door! At that point, the
responsibility of giving the wrong information to the players will be back on the club director. Please do not put me, your club members or yourself in this unpleasant and embarrassing situation.
There are some who do not appreciate the amount of time and effort that an incredibly large number of peolple are going to put into this weekend\'s events. At this time the tryout has over 150 players seeking
12 spots on 2 teams. Onsite or late registration only makes things worse.
It is also very sad to hear that there are still club directors not passing this info onto their members and are even stating that the program is of no value to them. May I remind you that the OVR had more
players who started/participated on youth and junior national teams last year than any other region in the USA? I would ask that if you as a club director have any concerns or issues that you would like to address, that you please do so with me in some way, either by phone or e-mail.
Your cooperation in forwarding the correct info onto your members is greatly appreciated.

From Canton:
Take Rt. 30 West to St. Rt. 83 North. Follow 83 North signs (this is the by-pass around Wooster) to the first traffic light (Friendsville Rd.). Turn left onto Friendsville. At the light at Oldman Road, turn right and park in the far parking lot.
From Akron:
Take I-76 West to St. Rt. 21 South to St. Rt. 585 West to Wooster. Just past the Rubbermaid plant, take St. Rt. 83 North (this is the by-pass around Wooster) to the first traffic light (Friendsville Rd.). Turn left onto Friendsville. At the light at Oldman Road, turn right and park in the far parking lot.
From New Philadelphia:
Take St. Rt. 250 North. Just West of the Village of Guerne, take St. Rt. 83 North (this is the by-pass around Wooster) to the first traffic light (Friendsville Rd.). Turn left onto Friendsville. At the light at Oldman Road, turn right and park in the far parking lot.
From Cleveland:
Take I-71 South to St. Rt. 83 South (Burbank exit). Take 83 South to Wooster. Just past Buehler's Market, turn at the next light (Friendsville Rd.). Turn right onto Friendsville. At the light at Oldman Road, turn right and park in the far parking lot.
From Mansfield:
Take 30 East to St. Rt. 83 North. Follow 83 North signs (this is the by-pass around Wooster) to the first traffic light (Friendsville Rd.). Turn left onto Friendsville. At the light at Oldman Road, turn right and park in the far parking lot.

16 Regional (8 team/ 2 court tournament)

We will follow the OVR rules set in place for weather,cancellation policy and pool play procedures. Please refer to those if you have any questions.
Start Time of 1st Match: 8:00am
Start Time of Coaches Meeting: 7:30am (main gym of high school)
Awards will be given to the first place team of the Gold Division.
There will be a concession stand available on site. Chairs are not permitted in the gym. Bleachers will be available.
