Cincy Classics 15 Red ended a successful JO season in Atlanta, finishing 11th out of 64 teams in the 15 Club division. Throughout the season this team defeated several 15 Open Qualifier teams such as Circle City 15-1, TVC Grindle, Asics Munciana Banana Slugs, and Team Z. They qualified for the national tournament at their regional qualifier in Columbus, Ohio, having finished 2nd overall. The girls started off the national tournament perfectly, with a 3-0 first-place finish on their first day of pool play.
The second day they finished 2-1 and second overall, playing a grueling match vs. Seal Beach. The second game of the match lasted over an hour and the ending score was 36-34! The score was so high that the scorekeepers had to start back at single digits to keep score after 30. They finished out the match with a win, but had to defeat the same team in a 15-point tie-breaking match for a second-place finish in the pool. They defeated Seal Beach 15-9 and moved on in the tournament for a chance at Gold.
On the third day Cincy didn't fare quite as well, turning up with a 1-2 record, but also having their only win in the pool be against the first-place finisher, Team Complete. Team Complete ended the tournament 5th and Golden West, the 2nd-place finisher of that pool won the Gold Bracket for 1st-place overall. Needless to say, the competition on the third day was pretty fierce. Cincy ended up in the Silver bracket and loss in the second round. They ended up 11th overall and were very happy with their finish. Throughout the tournament Cincy played teams from Arizona, Illinois, Southern and Northern California, and Ohio. Congratulations on a great year!

Teams may enter Leipsic High School tournaments by sending an entry fee ($225), team 11 digit ID#, and team contact name and address by January 15.

Thank you for your interest in our tournaments. Team rosters will be downloaded from the OVR website Friday the week of the tournament. Please make sure your coach has all certifications (IMPACT, Concussion, SafeSport) listed at the OVR membership database.
A coaches’ meeting at 8:00 AM at the playing site will take place prior to the start of the tournament. The tournament starts at 8:30 A.M. sharp. Pool play is the best of three sets with rally scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap.) The deciding set, if needed, will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage (no scoring cap.)

Teams will officiate according the above schedule for pool play.
Teams 1-8 (1st and 2nd place in pool play and the best two 3rd place teams) go to the gold playoffs. Teams 9-12 (the remaining third place team and fourth place teams) go to the silver playoffs. The lowest seeded team in each division not playing the first round of the playoffs will officiate the first playoff match. Tournament play will be the best of three sets. After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before leaving, must stay and officiate the next match.
Please note, the doors of the playing site will not be unlocked until 7:30 AM. At Leipsic High School, team camps are only permitted in the Commons area. No teams will be allowed to camp out in the hallways or stage area during the tournament. The use of any ball outside of the gymnasium is not permitted while inside the building.
Keep all coolers in cars. Coolers are prohibited in and outside facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events. Setting up tables and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events. A concession will be provided at the tournament site.
Seating for spectators will be provided in the gymnasium. No chairs allowed! Only those teams currently playing in a match are permitted on the gymnasium floor.
Tournament checks will be deposited January 15, 2020.
Team/Tournament Cancellation: Per OVR regulations- a team canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee. A team canceling prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full entry fee if a replacement is found. A team canceling from this tournament to enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee.
If Putnam County is under a Level 3 Emergency, the tournament will be cancelled. For any reason the tournament is cancelled, a notice will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament list. Club directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted (phone, email) as soon as possible. Entry fees will be returned within 3 days of the cancellation.
