Tournament Cancelled
The OVR Board met on Sunday, Oct 27, and agreed to the following items (in no particular order):
The OVR will host Boys' Regional Championships on March 1, 2003. Keith Burke is checking into facilities in the Columbus area. If someone has an alternate site that they would like considered, please contact me.
Currently, the OVR will host two boys tournaments at Kent State on Jan 25 and Feb 1. Tournament format will be similar to adult events: 5-team pools, pool play of 2 games to 21 points, top 2 teams advance to playoffs. Team entry fee will be $100.
The OVR will coordinate with the Dayton Juniors club to host an inter-regional boys tournament in conjunction with the Presidents' Day Cup event at the Dayton Convention Center, February 15-17, 2003. I'm waiting on additional information from Dayton Juniors.
The OVR membership fee for junior boys (players) will be only $30 for the year. Please note that the membership fee for adults will remain $50.
The OVR is interested in hosting a fall session for junior boys, starting in September/October 2003. Details will be announced at a later date.
The OVR will establish clear, specific policies and guidelines for junior boys volleyball. These guidelines will be published on the OVR web site.
In addition, Brian Hemelgarn will check into the feasibility of starting a CYO boys program in the Toledo area.
Addendum
The OVR will host boys' tournaments at Kent State on January 25 and February 22 (both Saturdays). Current plans are for 2 courts of 18s and 2 courts of 16s for each date.

- From the south: Take 271N to Rt. 90E, take 90E to Rt. 615. Turn left (north) on 615 to Tyler Blvd, Left (west) on Tyler. Eastside Volleyball Club is about 1 mile on your left.
- From the west: Take 90E to Rt. 2E. Take 2E to Rt. 615, turn right (south) to Tyler. Turn right (west) on Tyler. Eastside Volleyball Club is about 1 mile on your left.
- From the east: Take 90W to Rt. 615, turn right (North) on 615 to Tyler Blvd, left (west) on Tyler. Eastside Volleyball Club is about 1 mile on your left.
There are east and west entrances. The east entrance takes you to the front of the building. The west entrance is just past the east entrance. Follow that to the back of the building and turn left and drive along the back of the building. Parking is available on the east side of the building.

Eastside Rules:
1. Chairs are permitted in the facility. Bleacher seating is also provided.
2. No outside food or coolers are permitted inside the Eastside facility. Concessions are provided
3. One court is available for camping. Please pick up after yourself!
4. PLEASE BRING BALLS FOR WARM-UPS!
Awards:
Awards will be given to first and second place teams in the GOLD division.
Cancellation Policy:
Tournaments will not be cancelled unless there is a Level 3 Snow Emergency or a "no travel" order. All coaches and/or club directors will be contacted and a notice will be posted on the OVR website.
