Former OVR Referees' Chair Rick Laskey has been selected to officiate at the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games, to be held in Shanghai, China, October 2-11, 2007. His wife Connie will also be there, serving as a Mentor for Special Olympics Athlete/Referee Mary Ann Gonzalez. Other U.S. referees selected include Joe Campbell of Texas, Corny Galdones of Virginia, and Bob Stanek of Minnesota.
Rick has previously officiated at Special Olympics World Summer Games in North Carolina (1999) and Ireland (2003), and most recently at the Inaugural Special Olympics USA National Games at Iowa State University this past summer. In addition, he and Connie return to Ohio every June from their home in North Carolina to volunteer at the Special Olympics Ohio State Summer Games.

Tournament Information
Make checks out to Club One for $225 per team and mail to 908 Washington Avenue, Girard, OH 44420.
This is a 12 team, 3 net, 1 day tournament.
We will be following the OVR 3 net, 1 day tournament format (https://www.ovr.org/juniors/tournament_packet/JTP_Tournament_Format_12.pdf)
Doors open at 7 AM, coaches meeting at 7:40 AM, play begins at 8 AM.
T-Shirts to first place in Gold, medals to second place in Gold and 1st place in Silver.
Concessions available with hot & cold food & drinks.
Camping in cafeteria only. No food in gyms.
Bleacher seating for all 3 courts. No chairs permitted.
