Tournament Information

The Church of the Savior welcomes all JO players and
guests.

Doors open at 7:00 AM, with pool play starting at 8:00 AM .
Coach’s meeting starts at 7:40 between the Courts.
Pool play, playoff procedures, and officiating assignments for an
8 team tournament will follow standard OVR tournament formats
found at
http://www.ovr.org/juniors/tournament_packet/JTP_Tournament_Format_7.pdf.
Awards will be given to the 1st place team. 

For pools of 3 teams, the best of 5 sets will win matches. For
pools of 4 teams, the best
of 3 sets will win matches. Each non-deciding set will be won by
the team that first
scores 25 points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring
cap). If there is a
deciding set, it will be won by the team that first scores 15
points with a minimum 2-
point advantage (no scoring cap). Change sides when a team earns 8
points. Point will
be scored on each rally. If the receiving team wins the rally,
they score a point and gain the serve.

Coolers are not permitted inside or outside the doors of the
center. The church youth group are running a concession stand
offering a variety of food. Meals purchased
or brought in must be eaten in the concession stand dining area,
please.
Bleacher seating is available in the corners of each court, and
Chairs may be placed in designated areas for viewing. Teams
leaving a camp area littered (Please NO eating in the carpeted
area, Thanks)or failing to perform their officiating duties will
be reported to the OVR
for possible sanctions.

Cancellations due to weather will follow OVR guidelines, and will
be posted by 7:30 PM the night prior to this tournament.  Teams
canceling from playing in this tournament will be subject to the
guidelines under 4.5 of the OVR tournament procedures handbook.
