Tournament Information

Teams may enter tournament by sending an entry fee ($350), team
11 digit ID#, and team contact name and address by January 15th.

Enclose a check for $350 made payable to Zenith Volleyball. Mail

Thank you for your interest in our tournament. Team rosters will
be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the tournament.
Tournament seedings will be set on the Tuesday prior to the
tournament.

Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified. Doors open at
7:45am each day. Coaches' meeting is at 8:30am. Play begins at
9am. Pool pay is the best of three sets with rally scoring. Each
non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point
advantage (no scoring cap). The deciding set, if needed will be to
15 points with a minimum two point advantage(no scoring cap).

Prior to each team’s first match of the day, girls’ mandatory
warm-ups are to consist of 15 minutes (7 minutes shared, no
hitting across net), 4 minutes serving team, 4 minutes receiving
team. After each teams first match, the mandatory warm-up time
between all matches is will be 10 minutes, consisting of 2 minutes
of shared ball handling on-court, 4 minutes full-court for the
serving team, and 4 minutes full-court for the receiving team.

During each team’s full-court warm-up segment, the opposing team
must be in their bench area and not interfere with the team using
the court. However for purposes of risk management, the “off team”
could offer to help with retrieving balls when the “on team” is
hitting provided the “on-team” coach agrees.

Awards for Gold Division Winners and runner-up.

Assuming four team pools, all teams should play 4 matches on
Saturday and at least 3 but as many as 5 on Sunday depending upon
how far into the elimination bracket you advance.


THe playing schedule will follow the tournament outline provided
by the OVR and described on their tournaemnt information page(s).

The lowest seeded team in each division not playing the first
round of the playoffs will officiate the first playoff match.
Tournament play will be the best of three sets. After the first
round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before leaving, must stay
and officiate the next match.

Keep all coolers in cars. Coolers are prohibited in and outside
facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events. Setting up tables and/or
cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents
are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events.

A full concession with reasonable prices will be provided at the
tournament site.

Seating is not provided by the courts. Please bring your own
folding chair.

Tournament checks will be deposited January 15, 2011

Team/Tournament cancellation: Per OVR regulations- a team
canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the
tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee. A team canceling
prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full entry fee if
a repacement is found. A team canceling from this tournament to
enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee.

If Franklin County is under a level 3 Emergency, the tournament
will be canceled. For any reason the tournament is canceled, a
notice will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament list. Club
directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted
(phone,email) as soon as possible. Entry fees will be returned
within 3 days of the cancellation.
