Tournament Information

The tournament play starts at 9:00 AM.  Coaches meeting will be
held at 8:45 AM.  All coaches should attend the meeting.  

The facility will not open prior to 8:30 AM.

Pool Play and Playoff Formats: 12 Teams

Pool play format: 3 courts, 4 referees, 12 teams, 27 matches
3 pools of 4 teams

For pools of 4 teams, the best of 3 sets will win matches. Each
non-deciding set will be won by the team that first scores 25
points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring cap). If
there is a deciding set, it will be won by the team that first
scores 15 points with a minimum 2-point advantage (no scoring
cap). Change sides when a team earns 8 points. A point will be
scored on each rally. If the receiving team wins the rally, they
score a point and gain the serve.

Teams will officiate according the above schedule for pool play.

Officiating in the tournament will be as described by the OVR.

Tournament format: All teams advance. All teams must be ranked
within their pools based on match percentage first. For any
ties,
use the tie-breaking procedure below. All first-place,
second-place and top 2 third-place teams to the Gold playoffs. All
remaining 
teams to the Silver playoffs. Playoff positions on
the tournament brackets will be based on pool finish
to avoid teams from the same pool playing each other in the
first
round.

Awards T-Shirts will be given to the first place in gold
playoffs.

Concession will be available with a variety of food including
some healthy choices with all items VERY reasonably price.

The tournament will be held unless Marion County is under a
Level 3 Emergency at 9 PM on Saturday night
