  • From Cleveland:
    Go East on I_90. Exit off of the Geneva Exit (Rt. 534). Take a left at the light heading north. GaREAT will be on your right hand side. The entrance to the sports complex is between Chops and Wendy’s Restaurant.

  • From Erie:
    Go West on I-90. Exit off of the Geneva Exit (Rt. 534). Take a right off of the exit heading north. GaREAT will be on your right hand side. The entrance to the sports complex is between Chops and Wendy’s Restaurant.

Tournament Information

Doors open at 7:30am each day. Coaches meeting will be at 8:10am.
Play begins at 8:30am.

All Pools will be best of 3 sets.  The first two matches of Round 2 will take place on Saturday.
The other pool matches will be played Sunday starting at 8:30 am.
All teams will advance to the playoffs. All ties will be governed by USAV tie-breaking procedures. 

Brackets

Gold Bracket – The 1st & 2nd Place in AA, BB & CC as well as the 1st and 2nd best 3rd  place teams from AA, BB or CC advance to Gold Bracket.  

Silver Bracket – The 3rd best 3rd from Pool AA, Pool BB or Pool CC, 4th from Pool AA, Pool BB, Pool CC, 1st from Pool DD & Pool EE, 2nd from Pool DD & 2nd from Pool EE advance to the Silver Bracket. 

Bronze Bracket – The 3rd from Pool DD, 3rd from Pool EE, 4th from Pool DD & 4th from Pool EE advance to the Bronze Bracket. 

Coach Meeting

There will be a coaches meeting at 8:10 AM Saturday on Court 12. Please pick up the tournament packet and roster verification information at the tournament desk in the main corridor. 

Food

SPIRE has a no outside food and beverage policy. Concession stands will be open when tournament play is on. Coffee will be available at concession stands.  SPIRE Fuel will be open for all meals during both Saturday and Sunday. Fuel is the name of our on campus restaurant and is located in the Aquatics Building, a few yards from the door at court 10. Fuel has many options to choose from and can accommodate all health needs. Please ask a service cook who will be able to answer all food related questions and concerns. 

Camping

SPIRE has camping space available in the upstairs mezzanine. There are taped off areas towards the outside walls for the teams to use as camp sites. Camping is NOT permitted against any of the railings. Please ensure that your teams camping area in neat and tidy at the end of each day. There are plenty of trash and recycling cans in the facility.

Gold
The 1st and 2nd place teams from Pool AA & Pool BB advance to the Gold playoffs.

Silver
The 3rd and 4th place teams in Pool AA & Pool BB advance to Silver. 

Bronze
The 1st and 2nd place teams in Pool CC & Pool DD advance to the Bronze Playoff.

Copper
The 3rd place in Pool CC and 3rd place in Pool DD will play in the Copper Playoff. 


Coaches need to check in at Championship Desk on Saturday morning. You will verify your roster and pick up your tournament packet. The packet will include all of the pools and the playoff bracket information.
There will be a coaches meeting at 8:10 on Court 12 only on Saturday.
Warm-ups will be 7-4-4 for the first match for each team each day. Then they will be 2-4-4 for any subsequent matches in the same day.
You will be able to designate up to two Libero per match. Only one may play on the court at any given time. Only one Libero is allowed to serve in one service position. You must designate which Libero will be allowed to serve in the match.

Site Information

There is plenty of bleacher seating. No chairs are allowed in the
playing area. 
Chairs are permitted in the mezzanine area only.Large areas are
available
for camping in the mezzanine.  **Coaches, Please keep an eye on these spaces and do not leave the facility without having your team tidy up at the end of the day. There are plenty of trash cans available. Please keep camping in the marked out spaces we provide on the Volleyball half of the facility. No camping against the rails. 


***There will be opportunities for parents and siblings to take
advantage of our SPIRE Fit and Aquatics Center 
with purchases of day passes while at the tournament. ($10 individual day pass, $15 family day pass)

No coolers or outside food are permitted into the facility. 
Clubs will be able to rent loges for teams and their families.
The loges will have couches, chairs and TVs for families and players to relax
in between their matches. Teams can contact Terri Parrish 440-466-1002 x120 for
further information. 

Awards will be given to first and second place teams in the Gold
Division only.  

Cancellations

All coaches and club directors will be notified the night before
the tournament of any pending bad weather.  
If Ashtabula County is under a level three warning, the
tournament will be cancelled.  

For any reason the tournament is cancelled, a notice will be
displayed on the OVR Junior Tournament list.  
Club directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted
(phone,email) as soon as 
possible. Entry fee will be returned within 3 days of
cancellation.


Team/Tournament Cancellation:  Per OVR regulations:  A team
cancelling after the entry deadline, 
14 days prior to the tournament date, will forfeit the entry fee.

A team cancelling prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its
full entry fee if a
replacement is found.  
A team cancelling from this tournament to enter a different
tournament will forfeit its entry fee.
