Tournament Information

•	Mandatory Coaches meeting at 8:30 am.

•	Tournament will begin at 9:00 am SHARP!

•	Any checks for team registration fees can be made out to: NCYMCA. 

•	Pool play will be conducted as stated in the OVR Junior Tournament Packet which can be viewed at www.ovr.org/juniors/tournament_packet/.

•	Teams will be placed into pools based on their rank.  NOTE: Earlier in the tournament season there may be some teams that have not yet played in any tournaments and do not have a rank.  The tournament director will do the best job possible dividing the pools as fair as possible based on previous club performance and strength.  

•	Our tournaments will be open to accommodate 8 teams, but we will run tournaments if we get a minimum of 5 teams.

•	Playoff procedures are followed in accordance with the OVR Juniors Tournament packet which can be viewed at www.ovr.org/juniors/tournament_packet/.  The tournament packet to view will be dependent upon the number of teams entered.  The playoff structure may differ depending on the amount of teams.

•	Officials will be assigned on a first come first serve basis.  Consideration will be given to assignments regarding experience.  For example, no tournament will have 3 new officials assigned.  There will always be one experienced (2 years) official assigned to a tournament.  

•	Building supervisors at the New Castle Community Y-Zone will be responsible for the facility.  The only specific rule we have for players, coaches, spectators, and guest are that you be respectful and clean your area after usage.  Any team or club that causes damage to equipment or the facility will be noted by YMCA staff and a request for reimbursement to cover the damage will be submitted to club director and the OVR commissioner. •	Teams must provide their own practice balls.  The New Castle YMCA will only provide game balls. 

•	The winning team at every tournament will receive t-shirts as an award.

•	Concessions may be available.  Please check with the tournament site closer to the beginning of the tournament by calling 724-658-9211.  In the event concessions are not available there are several fast food and sit-down restaurants within 1 mile of the facility.

•	The only reason the New Castle Y-Zone will cancel a tournament will be due to inclement weather or too few teams.  If the New Castle Y-Zone decides to cancel, the OVR Juniors tournament director (Tom Kohl) will be the first to be notified, followed by the clubs receiving an email and phone call no later than 24 hours before the start of the tournament.
