Tournament Information

Teams may enter tournaments by sending an entry fee ($175), team
11 digit ID#, and team contact name and address by January 15,
2011.
Tournament checks will be deposited January 15, 2011.

Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified and all players
and
coaches have completed membership. 

A coaches´ meeting at 8:30 AM will take place on Court A of the
Hummel Field House.
A team representative must be present at the coaches' meeting. 
The tournament will begin at 9:00 A.M. 

Pool play is the best of three sets with rally scoring. Each
non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point
advantage (no scoring cap.) The deciding set, if needed, will be
to 15 points with a minimum two point 
advantage (no scoring cap.) All warm-ups will use the 2-4-4
format; 2-minutes shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team, 4-minutes
Serve Receiving team.

Teams will officiate according the above schedule for pool play.

TJ Recreation Center - 12 team tournament:
Teams 1-8 (first and second place teams of each pool and the best
2 third place pool teams) go to the gold playoffs, teams 9-12
(the
last third place team and all 4th place pool finishers) go to the
silver playoffs. The lowest seeded team in each division not
playing the first round of the playoffs will officiate the first
playoff match. Tournament play will be the best of three sets.
After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before
leaving, must stay and officiate the next match.
Awards to the winning players and coaches of the champions and
runner-up teams in the gold playoffs.

Hummel Field House - 8 team tournament: 
Teams 1 - 4 (pool play winners and 2nd place teams) go to the
Gold
playoffs and teams 5 - 8 (third and fourth place teams) go to the
Silver playoffs.  The lowest seeded team in each division not
playing the first round of the playoffs will officiate the first
playoff match.  Tournament play will be the best of three sets. 
After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before
leaving, must stay and officiate the next match.
Awards to the winning players and coaches of the champions and
runner-up teams in the gold playoffs.


Team camps are permitted on the track in the TJ Recreation Center
and on the upper balcony/walkway in the Hummel Field House. 

Keep all coolers in cars. Coolers are prohibited in and outside
facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events. Setting up tables
and/or
cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents
are
prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events. 

There will be a full concession stand available for the entire
tournament. T-shirts and other Bethany College Volleyball items
will also be available for purchase. Concessions and t-shirt
sales
support the Bethany College women’s volleyball team. 

Seating for spectators will be provided in the Hummel Field House
gymnasium. Seating will not be provided in the TJ Recreation
Center.

Tournament Cancellation: If Bethany College is under a Level 3
Emergency, the tournament will be cancelled. For any reason the
tournament
is cancelled, a notice will be displayed at the OVR Junior
Tournament list. Club directors and/or coaches and officials will

be contacted (phone, email) as soon as possible. Entry fees will
be returned within 3
days of the cancellation.
