The Woodling Gymnasium is in the Physical Education Building.

  • From the South (I-77):

    Follow I-77 north to the East 22nd/East 14th Street exit (#162B) to East 22nd Street.Turn left onto East 22nd Street; drive several blocks to Euclid Avenue, and turn right. Continue on Euclid and watch for the CSU Visitor Parking Lot on your right, just past the Bookstore.

  • From the West (I-90)

    Follow I-90 east to the East 22nd Street exit (#172C).Turn left onto East 22nd Street; drive several blocks to Euclid Avenue, and turn right. Continue on Euclid and watch for the CSU Visitor Parking Lot on your right, just past the Bookstore.

  • From the South (I-71):

    Follow I-71 north to the East 22nd Street exit (#172B). Turn left onto East 22nd Street; drive several blocks to Euclid Avenue, and turn right. Continue on Euclid and watch for the CSU Visitor Parking Lot on your right, just past the Bookstore.

  • From the West (Route 2):

    Follow the Shoreway (Route 2) east to I-77/I71 South. Exit at the Chester Avenue/CSU exit (#173B). Turn left onto East 24th Street and left at the light onto Chester. Take Chester to East 30th Street, turn right. After one block turn right onto Euclid Avenue and proceed west across the bridge. Look for the Visitor Parking Lot on your left, just before the Bookstore.

  • From the East:

    Follow I-90 west to the Chester Avenue/CSU exit (#173B). Turn left onto East 24th Street and left at the light onto Chester. Take Chester to East 30th Street, turn right.After one block turn right onto Euclid Avenue and proceed west across the bridge.Look for the Visitor Parking Lot on your left, just before the Bookstore.

Entry fee is $350.00 per team.  Please write your entry fee check payable to:  Momentum VBC

Please mail your check and entry.

Doors open at 7:00 AM each day.  Coaches' meeting is at 7:45 am
on court #2.  Play begins at 8:00 am.

Camping is permitted in the main hall of Woodling Gym only. Seating area is dedicated to outside the playing area around the courts and in the mezzanine level.

No outside food is allowed into the facility.  CSU Volleyball will
be hosting a concession stand for participants and spectators. 
Personal coolers must be left outside the building.

If severe weather is expected, the Tournament Director
will email all Club Directors and Coaches listed via the OVR list
for this event at 8:00 pm the night before the tournament with an update. 

CSU Rules:

No Coolers inside or outside the building (OVR rule)

No Tables are allowed inside the building (limited
space, fire hazard)

No Outside Food is allowed inside the building 

No Pictures with Flash (OVR rule)

CSU has limited space for camping.

Pool play format:	
5 courts, 20 teams
5 pools of 4 teams
For pools of 4 teams, the best of 3 sets will win matches. Each non deciding set will be won by the team that first scores 25 points with a minimum 2 point advantage (no scoring cap). If there is a deciding set, it will be won by the team that first scores 15 points with a minimum 2 point advantage (no scoring cap). Change sides when a team earns 8 points. A point will be scored on each rally. If the receiving team wins the rally, they score a point and gain the serve.

For the first round, teams from the same club, regardless of seed, should not be placed in the same pool.  
	
	
Tournament format:	All teams advance. All teams must be ranked within their pools based on match percentage first. For any ties, use the tie-breaking procedure below.   

All teams in Pools AA, BB, CC and Best 3rdPlace and 2ndBest 3rdPlace from Pools AA, BB, CC will play in the Gold tournament.

The 3rdBest 3rdPlace team and the fourth place teams from Pool AA, BB, CC and the first place teams and second place from Pool DD and EE will play in the Silver tournament.  

The 3rdPlace and 4thPlace teams from Pool DD and EE will play in the Bronze tournament.  Playoff positions on the tournament brackets will be based on pool finish.  Awards to first, second in Gold Division.
	



Clubs with multiple teams entered will be pooled, to the best of our ability, so as not to assign teams from the same club on the same net.
