  • From I-75 southbound:
    Take I-75 South to exit 74 (Troy/Covington) At exit 74 take a left onto Route 41 / Main St. and go into Troy. As you approach the square (a roundabout), go North or to the left onto North Market St. Take North Market St. to Ferguson Dr. and take a left. Park in the parking lot in front of the gym at Troy High School. Entry will be via the commons between the main gym and the aux gym.

Tournament Information

Teams may enter Troy High School tournaments by sending an entry
fee ($175), team 11 digit ID#, and team contact name and address
by January 15.

Thank you for your interest in our tournaments. We hope to
continue to promote interest in volleyball in this area and that
your time at our tournament be an enjoyable one.  Team rosters
will be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the
tournament. Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified. A
coaches’ meeting at 8:30 AM at the playing site will take place
prior to the start of the tournament. The tournament starts at
9:00 A.M. sharp. Pool play is the best of three sets with rally
scoring. 

Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum
two-point advantage (no scoring cap.) The deciding set, if
needed,
will be to 15 points with a minimum two point advantage (no
scoring cap.) For the first match of the day for each team, we
will follow te 7-4-4 format.
All warm-ups will use the 2-4-4 format; 2-minutes
shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team, 4-minutes Serve Receiving
team. Teams may request the referee to tell them when to serve,
usually one minute.

Teams will officiate according the above schedule for pool play.


Teams 1-4 (pool play winners and 2nd place teams) will go to the
gold playoffs.  Teams 5-8 (3rd and 4th place teams from each pool)
will go to the silver playoffs.
The lowest seeded team in each division not
playing the first round of the playoffs will officiate the first
playoff match. Tournament play will be the best of three sets.
After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before
leaving, must stay and officiate the next match. 

Please note, the doors of the playing site will not be unlocked
until 8:00 AM. At Troy High School, team camps are only permitted
in designated areas. Team camps will not be permitted in the
commons area.  This area will be for concessions alone.  The use
of any ball outside of the gymnasium is not permitted while
inside
the building. 

Keep all coolers in cars. Coolers are prohibited in and outside
facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events. Setting up tables
and/or
cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or
parents
are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events. A full concession will
be
provided at the tournament site.  Check this site closer to the
tournament date and a list of concession items may be available. 


Some seating for spectators will be provided in the gymnasium.
Arrangements will be made for additional spectator seating, but
chairs must remain in the designated areas.  Only those teams
currently playing in a match are permitted on the gymnasium
floor.


Tournament checks will be deposited January 15, 2011. 

Team/Tournament Cancellation: Per OVR regulations- a team
canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the
tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee. A team canceling
prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full entry fee
if
a replacement is found. A team canceling from this tournament to
enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee. 

If Miami County is under a Level 3 Emergency, the tournament will
be cancelled. For any reason the tournament is cancelled, a
notice
will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament list. Club
directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted (phone,
email) as soon as possible. Entry fees will be returned within 3
days of the cancellation.
