Online Testing for Professional Referees
Referees
The online USAV referee test system for professional officials is available at www.yankee.org/usavref/usavtest/.
I am asking that all of you take the test online this year (unless
you've already taken it during the collegiate season). Taking the test
now will cut about two hours from our all-day clinics in December, so
I need your help to accomplish this! I will still offer the test at
the clinics, but only for those who have extenuating circumstances or
for new officials/recruits.
— Brian Hemelgarn, OVR Referees' Chair, 24 Oct 2002
If you took the joint PAVO/USAV Form A (or Form B) test in the fall through your PAVO local board, please be sure that your board chair sends Brian your USAV test results! Contact the appropriate person and ask her/him to forward Brian your original USAV test score (test answers need not be forwarded).
Notes for the testing process:
The online testing process relies on our honesty and integrity.
Select Form A. (Do not select Form C: you'll have to go back and take Form A if you do!)
When the exam form comes up, fill out the requested information completely. Make sure you select "Ohio Valley" as your region. Junior National and National referees must read and accept the testing guidelines.
Brian will receive a copy of your results automatically.
Any questions or concerns with that system should be addressed to Tom Sweeney, NERVA Webmaster, at webmaster@yankee.org and/or Brian Hemelgarn, OVR Regional Referees' Chair, hemelgarn@ovr.org.
Scorekeepers
Online testing for USAV scorekeepers is available at www.yankee.org/scorers/usavtest/.
Considerations analogous to those for referee testing apply. Your results will be sent to Terry Miller, OVR Regional Scorekeepers' Chairperson.
