OVR Winterfest a huge success, featuring excellent exposure to college scouts

Thanks to everyone who participated in the OVR 2009 Winterfest, held on February 7-8, 2009, in the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The tournament featured National Challenge tournaments for girls' 17s' and 18s' teams [results], plus boys' tournaments for 14-, 16-, and 18-and-Under teams [results].

In addition to being a great early-season tournament, the Winterfest is also an excellent venue for juniors to showcase their talents to college scouts. College programs attending the OVR 2009 Winterfest included at least the following: Akron University, Bowling Green, Cedarville, Cedarville, Cleveland State, Columbus State, Eastern Michigan, Evansville, Fairmont State, Hiram, Kent State, Miami University, Michigan, Missouri State, Morehead State, Mount Vernon, Muskingham, Notre Dame, Ohio Dominion, Ohio University, OSU-Marion, Rutgers, Shawnee State, Tennessee, The Ohio State University (women and men), Toledo, University Of Cincinati, University Of Dayton, Urbana, Walsh College, Wittenberg, Wright State, and Xavier.
