National Bids
Spots in the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships are awarded by a competitive "bid" process. Girls' teams can win bids at the Ohio Valley Region-Molten® 2012 National Bid Qualifier or at Girls' Junior National Qualifiers. The Ohio Valley Region-Molten® National Bid Qualifier has a lower entry fee ($600 versus $755 for the MEQ) and offers multiple bids per division, whereas the Qualifiers typically yield only one bid per 64-team division. Boys' teams can win bids at Boys' Junior Bid Tournaments.

Subject: Roster Correction Process for Girls Qualifiers & Boys Bid TournamentsWe have received multiple requests regarding the process to correct errors/issues on qualifier rosters. The process in general, regardless of which system the qualifier uses, would require the club directors/administrator to make the appropriate changes/corrections. This can only be done up to the roster change deadlines, which vary from qualifier to qualifier and from system to system. After the deadline has passed, only the tournament directors and/or designated tournament staff can make changes/corrections.
We are aware that some qualifiers allow roster modification until the time of team check-in. Please note that the region office and USAV National Office staff do not have the ability to make changes.
It is important that you communicate with the appropriate club directors to ensure that the proper corrections are made prior to the roster change deadline, if applicable.
Once the club director/administrator has made the appropriate changes it would be appreciated to let the tournament director and us know that corrections were made.
USAV may choose to re-verify participants in any NGB sanctioned events, particularly the events that do not have roster modification cut offs. Results of any re-verification will be provided to USAV Senior Management and the appropriate regions for review.
In order to ensure those nationally sanctioned events are compliant with the NGB Sanction requirements (see attached and is also part of the Qualifier Manual) we may repeat the process. The processes we are using at this time involve comparing data as extracted from the tournament events systems (ClubSpaces, SUPT and AES) to data available in the National Membership database. The process compares data based on a variety of matching criteria to try to cover a broad range of scenarios and is conducted in the following order:
1. Comparison based on likeness in First Name and exact Last Name as well as exact USAV Number and Region match.
2. Comparison based on exact match of First Name, Last Name, USAV Number & Region
3. Comparison based on exact match of First Name, DOB & Region ONLY
4. Comparison based on exact match of Last Name, DOB & Region Only
5. Comparison based on exact match of first 3 letters of First Name, Last Name, DOB & Region
6. Comparison based on exact match of First Name, Last Name, DOB & RegionOnce a matching record has been found the process will then verify participation eligibility based on roster assignment, membership, background screening and IMPACT as applicable.
