Tournament Information

Teams may enter Buckeye Volleyball Club tournaments by sending an
entry fee ($170), team 11 digit ID#, and team contact name and
address by January 15th, 2010.

I would like to welcome you to Buckeye Volleyball Center.  Team rosters
will be downloaded from the OVR website the week of the
tournament.  Please make sure your coach is IMPACT certified.  A
coaches' meeting at 8:30 AM at the playing site will take place
prior to the start of the tournament.  The tournament starts at
9:00 AM Sharp at Buckeye Volleyball Center.  Pool pay is the
best of three sets with rally scoring.  Each non-deciding set will be
to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage(no scoring cap).

The deciding set, if needed will be to 15 points with a minimum
two point advantage(no scoring cap).  All warm-ups will use the
2-4-4 format; 2-minutes shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team,
4-minutes Serve Receving team.  Teams may request the referee to
tell them when to serve, usually one minute.

Tee Shirts will be awarded for Gold Division Winners.

Teams will officiate according to the above schedule for pool
play.

Teams 1-4 (pool play winners and 2nd place teams) go to the gold
playoffs and teams 5-8 (third and fourth place teams) go to the
silver playoffs.  The lowest seeded team in each division not
playing the first round of the playoffs will officiate the first
playoff match.  Tournament play will be the best of three sets. 
After the first round of the playoffs, all losing teams, before
leaving, must stay and officiate the next match.

Please note, the doors of the playing site will not be unlocked
until 8:00 AM at Buckeye Volleyball Center, team camps will be
permitted in the assigned rooms with tables.  No teams will be
allowed to camp outside of these designated areas.  

Keep all coolers in cars.  Coolers are prohibited in and outside
facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events.  Setting up tables
and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches,
or parents are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events.  

A Full Concession will be available at very reasonable prices.
                                                                
Seating for spectators will be limited around the court area. 
Chairs may be brought by spectators, but please share the front
viewing area with teams that are currently playing.

Tournament checks will be deposited January 15, 2010

Team/Tournament cancellation:  Per OVR regulations- a team
canceling after the entry deadline, 14 days prior to the
tournament date, will forfeit its entry fee.  A team canceling
prior to the entry deadline does not forfeit its full entry fee
if a repacement is found.  A team canceling from this tournament
to enter a different tournament will forfeit its entry fee.

If Franklin County is under a level 3 Emergency, the tournament
will be canceled.  For any reason the tournament is canceled, a
notice will be displayed at the OVR Junior Tournament list. 
Club
directors and/or coaches and officials will be contacted (phone,
email) as soon as possible.  Entry fees will be returned within
3 days of the cancellation.  

                ***Important Parking Information***

Below is very important parking information at Buckeye Volleyball Center.  Please pass this information on to your players and parents.  Buckeye Volleyball Centers parking lot can fit about 50 cars.

1.  Car pool if Possible
2.  Please park head-in at Buckeye Volleyball Center.
3.  Parking is allowed on the West side of Oak Creek Drive.     
    Please stay 5 feet from any driveway on Oak Creek 
    Drive.  Columbus Police will ticket if you don’t 
    Comply
4.  Do not park in any business on Oak Creek Drive or in 
    the apartment complex behind our building.  They will 
    tow.
5.  The grass in front of Buckeye Volleyball Center is not 
    our property, so please do not park, drive or walk 
    across the grass.
6.  Additional overflow approved parking is at the Faternal   
    Order of Police parking lot and the Ramada Inn North 
    parking lot on Schrock Hill court.  Schrock Hill Court    
    is the first light east of Oak Creek Drive.(By Wendy’s)
    There are an additional 200 parking spots and only a 
    five minute walk to Buckeye Volleyball Center. 
7.  All other parking will be at your own risk.
