Information and Registration

* Important Information for Men's and Women's Teams

* Regional entry forms will be mailed to team representatives on March 1.

* Deadline for entry into the Regional Championships is Monday, March 27.
* All entries must be postmarked by this date.

* Saturday, April 15, 2000: Men's BB, B; Women's A
* Sunday, April 16, 2000: Men's AA, A; Women's AA, BB, B

Tournament Procedures

If you must withdraw your team any time before the tournament, please contact Keith Burke (Men) or Michelle Fox (Women) immediately! We do have teams on the waiting list that want to play.

We will be calling in to check our answering machines while we are in Columbus.

Below are the Columbus Convention Center site rules and regulations. In the past, the Region has lost the use of facilities due to abuse of site rules. A violation of any of the rules listed below could mean disqualification of any individual or team immediately from further competition in the tournament.

  1. Stay inside "Hall D" playing area. Don't camp out in the hallway. This is a public facility.
  2. THERE ARE NO SHOWER FACILITIES.
  3. NO COOLERS OR FOOD in the building at all. The center has two concession areas.
  4. Keep all chairs far away from any court or playable areas.
  5. Only certified vendors may sell clothing, shirts, shoes, etc. with approval from the Commissioner.
  6. NO smoking in gym areas or hallways.
  7. NO passing volleyballs in hallways or concessions areas.
  8. Put all trash in containers provided by the Convention Center staff.

Tournament Reminders

  1. Doors open at 7:30 AM both days. Tournament starts at 9:00 AM.
  2. Warm-ups: 1st match for your team: 10 minutes; 2nd match and thereafter- 5 minutes after the teams leave the court.
  3. Similar uniforms of the same color with visible, contrasting legal numbers - No Exceptions.
  4. Teams are required to provide a knowledgeable first referee, a second referee, linesmen and scorekeepers. Failure to fulfill your assignment on time all day will mean a $20.00 charge per game, payable before you can play your next match. P.S. Bring your own whistle!
  5. A certified trainer will be provided at the site.
  6. The official tournament volleyball is the Spalding TF-4000 GOLD.
  7. Merchandise awards will be presented to all first and second place teams.
  8. Please encourage your team to take a few minutes to vote for the Board of Directors.
